Favorite Facial Toners

This post contains affiliate links.

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means…today I get to talk to you about skincare and pretend like I know what I’m talking about! HAHAHA!! But really though…today we are continuing with my summer skincare series where I have broken down my skincare routine by product and am sharing with you my fave high and low end items in each category! We have already covered regular cleansers, facial oils, exfoliators, masks and today we are moving on to toners!!

Toners just may one of my favorite parts of my skincare routine. There is absolutely nothing better than swiping a toner soaked cotton ball across my face and seeing the gross stuff left behind…HA! It’s like just when you think your face is clean BAM you find you missed a spot. Know what I mean??

Today I have four fabulous toners that I absolutely love that I am going to share with you. For reference I have normal skin that gets oily in my t-zone, my skin is not sensitive and I can use pretty much anything on it.

I compare every toner to the Clinique because that was the first one I ever used when I was a teenager and honestly I still think it’s the best. So let’s get to it!

facial toners

Clinique Clarifying Lotion / Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner /
Olay Oil Minimizing Clean Toner / Murad Clarifying Toner

Tips and tricks for prime finer use…start with a clean face and just douse a cotton ball with the toner of your choice and wipe over you entire face and neck. I usually use a toner twice a day. You can use it as much as you like as long as you grab a non-drying formula and all of the toners I have listed below are non-drying!

ONE. Clinique Clarifying Lotion Like I said earlier, this is the very first toner I ever used and it is hands down my absolute favorite. I love the way it really gets all the dirt and gunk left on your face and the fact that it doesn’t dry your face out. I love formula 2 but I have used them all at some point in time.

TWO. Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner This is a recent purchase of mine after I didn’t want to battle the mall crowds to replace my Clinique and I have to say that it is pretty fabulous. Along with getting my face super squeaky clean I have also noticed a difference in pore size on my face. It also smells amazing!! I will definitely be purchasing this again!

THREE. Olay Oil Minimizing Clean Toner Another budget buy that I love…this toner is made with witch hazel and has no smell for those who are sensitive to smells. This toner also helps with shine control and doesn’t dry your skin out!

FOUR. Murad Clarifying Toner Definitely a splurge but this product is worth it. It literally dissolves every bit of anything left on your face. It is both pore minimizing and contains vitamin E to protect your skin from free radical damage.

So those are my top four toners!

Do you use a toner??
What’s your favorite toner??

Those all sound like great choices to me. I don’t currently use a toner, so I was pretty uneducated on them until I read this.

I have to confess that I never use toners. Back in the day, most of them I tried were way too drying for my skin. I need to try the ones you mentioned.

This helps me figure out what toner I should get. I’m not a big make up wearer, so the help I can get I will take it! Very informative.

I haven’t used a toner in decades, probably when clinique was big. I don’t know that I need one but I do use moisturizer faithfully.

I am not a toner user. I tried them in the past, but, for one reason or another, stopped. Will have to try these!

Interesting. I have never used a toner on my face. I know it’s time to start taking better care of my skin though. I guess it is a product I should consider.

I don’t think I’ve ever used a toner in my life. I never really use anything but soap and water on my face and that needs to change. I had my baby last week and my poor face is break out city from all the hormones. I bet some of these would work wonders.

These all sound like wonderful options. I’d love to try out a new toner. I wonder which one I’d like best.

I used to use a toner and I found that it was very beneficial. Clinique is always one of my go to brands, but I will definitely check these others out as well!

I like neutrogena as its really tender on the skin. The rest would be excellent toners too.

Great choices! I never really tried toners before because most the cheap ones have alcohol content and those with better formulation are too expensive for me. Right now I just stick to moisturizers! Thanks for sharing! :D
