Week three of my skincare favorites is here!! This week we are talking about exfoliators!! If you missed the first two weeks you can check out facial cleansers here and cleansing oils here. Today we are moving on to exfoliators since that is the next logical step in my skincare routine. First you cleanse your skin really well with either a cleanser or an oil and then you exfoliate!
Some exfoliators are gentle enough for everyday use and some are jut for a few times a week. You can choose what you want to do but I am an every couple of days exfoliating kind of girl. Nothing against those who choose to exfoliate everyday but sometimes when I come home from work I am doing good to just wash my face…HA!
So lets get to my favorite facial exfoliators…
Fresh Umbrian Clay Face Exfoliant / First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Polish /
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate / Clinique 7 Day Scrub / St. Ives Apricot Scrub
ONE. Fresh Umbrian Clay Face Exfoliant I have to admit that I have only ever used a sample of this exfoliator but I really loved it. This exfoliator is enriched with lemon fruit extract, olive leaf extract, and chamomile flower and lavender water. It’s kind of pricy but definitely worth it and will last a long time if you only use it a few times a week.
TWO. St. Ives Apricot Scrub This exfoliator is considered America’s #1 and for a good reason, it’s affordable and really gets the job done. This may just be the first exfoliating scrub I ever used and so it has a special place in my heart.
THREE. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Polish This is one of my newest finds and my first product from First Aid Beauty that I have ever tried. This exfoliator contains shea nut shell powder and willow bark extract.
FOUR. Clinique 7 Day Scrub This is hands down one of my absolute favorite exfoliators. I keep this bad boy in the shower and use it once or twice a week. It was inducted into Allure magazine’s “Beauty Hall of Fame” and I think it’s the best one for the price point. I heard a rumor that it may be going away so I need to stock up!!
FIVE. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate I actually grabbed a sample of this from Sephora and am seriously loving it. While this exfoliator may cost a pretty penny it is definitely worth it. ExfoliKate contains lactic acid and fruit enzymes but is super gentle on your skin. Love it!!
So that’s all I have for exfoliators today. Exfoliating is a very important part of your skincare routine and shouldn’t be skipped. It really helps remove the dead skin and leaves you looking bright and young…and can’t we all use that? I know I sure could!!
I really hope you enjoyed this post and will stay tuned for the rest of the series!! Next week will be all about masks!!!
Do you exfoliate??

I love exfoliators so much, they always make me feel so clean and fresh! The St. Ive’s is too harsh for my sensitive skin, but I absolutely love Clinique’s 7-day scrub!
Exfoliators are such an important part of a good skincare routine. We all need to be using them! You’ve got some amazing ones listed, especially the ExfoliKate. There are so many different ones out there, so there’s one available for everyone! I love using a fruit enzyme type exfoliant for more sensitive skin types!
A good exfoliator is so important to have in your beauty routine! These all sound like great exfoliators, I have to use one for sensitive skin.
I do! I use a gentle product from Arbonne. I’ve been using it for about a year and I really love it. It’s been great for my skin.
I’m not a huge exfoliator fan! I always forget to do it, but when I do it is glorious!! I love St Ives! It is so cheap but works so well! Great scent too!
I use the St. Ives one daily! It is my favorite and makes my skin feel so refreshed!
I have been using St. Ives products since I was a teen (long time!) I love the apricot scrub and always seem to go back to it.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub is what my mom used to get when I was a kid. I have used it a few times through out the years but mostly I just use soap and water. I am going to have to check a couple of these favorites out for sure. Thanks for sharing the list.
That’s my biggest problem, I don’t really take care of my skin. Exfoliating sounds like very relaxing.
Great review of these exfoliators! I have always loved St Ives products since I was very young. The other options look great too!
I love exfoliating, one of my fave weekly habits. I want to try the Kate Somerville exfoliator, I’ve seen it at Sephora.
I have always been a big fan of the St Ives exfoliater. I like to exfoliate at least once a week to keep my skin feeling fresh.
I love the First Aid Beauty collection! They work so well and I’ve been expanding the products I use with them!
Those sound like some great products. I don’t think I’ve tried any of them before. I do love St. Ives products though. I’d love to try that one out.

I need a reboot of my skin care routine, so this was so helpful! I haven’t tried any of the ones you listed, so I’m excited to!
I’ve used St Ives for years, I love having a facial routine that fits my budget. It’s important to cleanse and moisture as much as your skin will let you.
I really love that St. Ives Apricot scrub and I keep meaning to go pick up more. I also really like their Green Tea one!
