Favorite Facial Oils

This post contains affiliate links.

Last week on my new skincare series I told you about my favorite facial cleansers and so I think that naturally leads to a discussion about my favorite facial oils. First things first, cleanser differ from oils in that cleansers contain some form of soap and oils are just that, oil. Facial oils are for everyone, no matter your skin type. Like I mentioned last week, my face is normal to dry, but facial are for those of you with oily faces too!

I know you are probably thinking why on Earth would I use a facial oil on an oily face but just trust me on this one, ok? Facial oils are made of good oils that will get even the toughest, most waterproof makeup of your face while leaving it super soft. They strip off the bad oil your face produces and replaces it with good nourishing/hydrating oil.

So let’s get to these oils!!

FacialOils

Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil / Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil / Philosophy Purity Cleansing Oil / Malin+Goetz Facial Cleansing Oil / Clinique’s Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil / bareMineral’s Oil Obsessed Total Cleansing Oil

To use any of these cleansing oils all you do is put three to four pumps of oil into your hands and smooth onto your face. Then wet your face with warm water and massage the oil in. Rinse your skin really good after and blot with a clean towel. Your skin will be super soft and thank you!!

ONE. Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil I like to think of this cleansing oil as “the original” because it is the first one I ever heard of. HA! I hold every oil I use to this one, my “gold standard” if you will…this Josie Maran Oil contains almond, safflower seed, and grape seed oils. It removes makeup and promotes deep hydration. This oil is on the expensive side but worth every penny!

TWO. Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil This oil is super light but does a fantastic job at both removing makeup and cleaning your skin. I actually just bought this oil the other day to try and have been impressed with it so far, plus the price is on point if you are on a budget like me!

THREE. Philosophy Purity Cleansing Oil I can’t say enough how much I love Philosophy’s products and this oil is no exception. I love how luxurious my skin feels after using it and the fact that the brand is just one I really trust.

FOUR. Malin+Goetz Facial Cleansing Oil Probably the most expensive of the bunch, I seriously love this Malin+Goetz oil. I got this one as a sample in a subscription box and stretched it to make it last! This product contains grapeseed, avocado and olive oils to make your face feel like a fine silk. I have tried several Malin+Goetz products through subscription boxes and this one may just be my favorite so far.

FIVE. Clinique’s Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil I have been a Clinique lover since I first tried their 3 step facial system when I was a pre-teen…HA! I have tried this cleansing oil and love it! It’s super smooth and super rich feeling at a great price point.

SIX. bareMineral’s Oil Obsessed Total Cleansing Oil I love the bareMineral mineral powders and couldn’t wait to try this oil when it was released! It contains borage, sunflower, bilberry and cucumber oils, plus mineral-rich sea salts to get your skin super clean!! I can’t say enough how much I love this line.

So there you have it, my six favorite facial oils! If you have any questions about using oils let me know!!

Do you use a facial oil??
Which is your favorite facial oil??

I’d love to try a couple of these. I prefer ultra light because I tend to have an oily problem is something is heavy on the oil.

Facial Oils are amazing for everyone and probably one of the best products to own if you’re serious about skincare! Some other brands to consider, who have amazing facial oils, Sunday Riley, Colleen Rothschild, Kiehl’s!

I have been looking for a good face oil I can use to help my dry skin. I find a lot of them leave my skin to oily. I will have to give these a try.

i think you may have me finally convinced to try a facial oil for “cleansing” rather than my usual face wash. i’ll have to give one of your recommendations a test drive and let you know how it goes! now that i use non-sulfate shampoo, i’m finally a believe in things that don’t bubble, but actually do clean!

I love the clinique take the day off cleansing oil! It leaves your face feeling so soft and, for lack of better words, CLEAN! Plus the bottle lasts forever which is definitely one of my favorite things about this product.
