Skincare Empties – June 2018

This post contains affiliate links.

I love skincare. I mean really, truly, absolutely love it. I could honestly talk about that (and anything hair related) all day long. LOL! I love trying new products and sharing them with you, the ones I love and the ones I hate and so today I am going to share with you some of my recent skincare empties. I did a post a couple weeks ago about my hair empties and y’all seemed to like that so today I am focusing on skincare.

I am also randomly including a few deodorant empties even though I know deodorant isn’t skincare I think these need to be shared. Remember when I talked about switching to natural deodorant last fall? Well I am still going strong and have even branched out to try a new brand that I will talk a little bit about today. So without further ado (aka rambling) here we go!

I have quite a few empties to share with you today, everything from cleanser to moisturizer to deodorant to toner and more! I LOVE LOVE LOVE most of these products and can’t wait to tell you all about them!! Two are even products that were originally for sponsored posts that I absolutely fell in love with and have already repurchased, HA!

Enough suspense let’s get to talking skincare!

First up let’s talk about a few Clinique products I used up. I have talked about my ride-or-die Clinique Clarifying Lotion (toner) several times and recently discovered this Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil. I grabbed the cleansing oil when I was in Seattle and have been using it ever since. I have aways been a big fan of the Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm and have loved facial oils in the past so I though this would be perfect for me. While I loved it, it didn’t get all my eye makeup off as good as the cleansing balm. As soon as this was finished I switched back to the balm. Will I repurchase? Maybe! Now the Clarifying Lotion is a completely different story. It is my number 1 toner and I have tried to like others but I always HATE them and switch back to this one, HA! So I guess it will stay around for good!! I always keep an extra bottle on hand because I don’t ever want to run out if it!!!

Next up let’s talk about a few facial cleansers and a peel I love!! I purchased the IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cleanser myself and loved it! I used it as a second cleanser in my double cleansing method of face washing (I used it after a facial oil or balm) and it’s super soothing. It made my face super soft and just felt like it was really cleaning my face! I will definitely be repurchasing! The Olay Regenerist Whip Moisturizer I actually received as a part of a sponsored post I did a few months ago and I seriously loved it SO MUCH that I have since repurchased it and plan to keep on using it for FOREVER. LOL! But really, it’s super light on my face, dried super quick and is perfect for summer!!

Last, but not least let’s talk about this Lancôme Visionnaire Crescendo 28 Day Peel that I got for a sponsored post last summer. I loved what it did for my face and so I decided to purchase it for myself and do it again at the beginning of this summer. I can’t say that my results were quite as drastic as last time but it did really help in the transition from winter to spring this year. If you are looking for an good, at home peel then I highly suggest this one!!

And lastly let’s talk deodorant. I wrote this post last fall about making the switch to natural deodorant and sill stand by that post. I am still using Schmidt’s and still love it (the Vanilla Rose and Bergamot Lime are my fave scents) but I also branched out and tried a different brand, Native Deodorant. I think the Schmidt’s will always be my number one natural deodorant, number one because I smells amazing and number two because you can buy it at Target. However, after trying the Native Deodorant I have to say that it’s a close second. It smells wonderful but I feel like it dines’t work as well as Schmidt’s? I have two more scents to use and I will definitely use them up because I don’t let good deodorant go to waste but Schmidt’s will always be my favorite!!

So that’s it for my skincare (and deodorant) empties for this month! I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe found a new product or two to try for yourself!!

Clinique and Olay are the two that I have used in the past and present. Mary Kay makes some great skin care products as well.

I am a firm believer in Clinique products so I will try these. IT is a line I am not too familiar with but is worth a try the next time I shop.

I have used Clinique products in the past and love them. Some of these things I’m not too familiar with but I am definitely willing to try anything that makes me feel better and makes my skin nicer!

I always find Clinique products to be very high quality. I really like that vanilla Schmidt’s deodorant. Such a different fragrance for it’s kind.

I know I have to start taking better care of my skin at my age. I have never tried any products from this brand. I’ve heard such good things though.

I always get such dry skin in the summer months. I am outside a lot and it is not kind to my skin, I need to get better with taking care of it, these all seem like great products!

I love my Schmidt’s deodorant too. My kids use it as well! I do find that it helps to switch up my natural deodorants once in a while – maybe my body gets too used to one thing? I’ve never heard of that other one – did you buy it online?

I use Clinique and Olay myself and I love them! I have yet to pick up on maintaining my skin care though since I tend to forget a lot.
