It’s Friday and you know what that means…time for the Friday Five!! If you are new around here then all you need to know is that I reserve Fridays to make a list of five random things that probably wouldn’t warrant a full blog post but still deserve a mention, nonetheless. So here we go!!
ONE. I am leopard print obsessed!! I talked about this on Instagram the other day but you know how there are some things that you say you will never wear and then a couple of years later you have to eat your words? Yeah, that’s me and leopard print. I distinctly remember in college when all of my sorority sisters were into leopard print and I thought it was super tacky (even though I was obsessed with zebra print at the time) and swore I would never own anything leopard print. Fast forward 15 years and I am all over anything leopard print. HA! But I’m not mad about it…
…this scarf is one of my most recent leopard print purchases and I love it! It’s the perfect amount of warm without being too suffocating. It’s similar to a blanket scarf but not quite that big. If you come back to the blog on Monday I may or may not be giving one away (I TOTALLY AM!).
I also purchased these shoes last weekend when I was in Dallas. I think they were originally a part of the big Nordstrom Sale this past summer so they are on sale now, YASSSSS, and they fit like a dream! There are only. couple sizes left so hurry up and grab a pair before they are gone forever!!
TWO. Speaking of my Dallas trip last weekend I am still obsessing over all of the photos I took at the Dallas Arboretum. I may or may not already be mentally planning my next trip. It’s seriously gorgeous and I can’t wait to go back and explore all of the gardens!
THREE. I have been doing a lot of house stuff lately…I bought some new furniture and it finally all came in, I also bought this rug and I can’t decide exactly where I want to put it!! It’s in my living room right now but I may move it to my bedroom and see what it looks like there. I can’t wait to figure everything out and photograph it for y’all!
FOUR. I made this super yummy, super easy Chicken Enchilada Soup the there day and I can’t wait to share the recipe with y’all!! I meant to share it with you earlier this week but I have this problem where I pour a bowl of it and then I forget to take any pics of it before I gobble it up so I say I will take pics the next time I eat it and the cycle repeats itself. So basically I’m just too hungry to take pics of my food. HA!!
FIVE. I don’t know what the weather is like in your area but it has been ridiculously overcast and gross in central Arkansas for the past couple of weeks and my allergies have been on FIRE. My nose is runny, my head is constantly POUNDING, I haven’t seen the sunshine in weeks. It’s been pretty miserable. UGH. Hope your weather is better.
What have you been up to this past week??

That soup looks amazing! For a second there, I thought you had my great room rug. I had to look down and I noticed it’s a little different yet very similar. Oh, and I love, love, love leopard print.

I’ve been pretty busy prepping for Thanksgiving at my house and a quick weekend trip to Dallas and I am so due for a trip to the Dallas Arboretum. I haven’t been since last year. I can’t wait. Loving those shoes and loving that “Hey Y’all” doormat.

Love those shoes. Nordstrom always has great shoes and if you shop during a sale, it can be somewhat affordable. Love the pics of the arboreum too!

We are going to D-FW area (Cowboys game) for Christmas and someone said a visit to the Arboretum is a must visit. Thousands of lights so we are checking it out. Love the scarf.

You remind me of my friend who love these kind of prints. I love your scarf and the shoes too.

Looks like you had a great week. I need to make some chicken enchilada soup to help me warm up during this cold weather.

I am in love with those shoes. They look so comfy and I definitely don’t mind some leopard print.

I was fascinated by the leopard print scarf. The shoes look chic too. Am personally a great fan of leopard prints, simply love them.

The scarf looks so pretty. I love leopard and tiger prints for scarves because they just go well with plain colored tops/jackets. I am going to wait for you to share the recipe for the Chicken Enchilada Soup. Looks so good!
