Dallas Trip + Texas Tech at AT&T Stadium

This post contains affiliate links.

This past weekend I went to Dallas with my bloggy bestie Rebekah! We went down for the Texas Tech/Baylor game and to do a little pampering and shopping!! I have been ridiculously busy with work and just life in general lately and have had zero time for myself so this weekend away was much needed.

I drove down Friday morning, thank goodness Dallas is only about a four hour drive from my house, and ran a few errands before picking up Rebekah at the airport. We were starving so we headed over to Shake Shack for a quick lunch! Rebekah had never been to Shake shack before so I was glad to introduce her to this iconic burger joint! I got the Shroom Burger and Chili Cheese Fries with the house made lemonade and it hit the spot! If you haven’t been to Shake Shack I highly suggest you go!

After we finished eating we headed over to Bellacures and got our nails done. We also did a little Christmas shopping and then headed to our hotel. Later that night we headed over to Nordstrom, where I spent waaaay too much money after finding the most perfect sweatshirt and a few more goodies and then we headed to eat again and then back to our hotel for the night. We tried to go to bed early since we know the next day was going to be busy!

Saturday morning we got up at the crack of dawn to get ready for the game. We had drybar appointments at 8am, when in Dallas and all…I got the Mai Tai blowout and I have to say that it was one of the best blowouts I have ever gotten. I was seriously obsessed with it, and my stylist even made sure all the baby hairs around my face were straightened and didn’t get in my face all day (they normally leave them slightly curled and they drive me nuts all day)!

After our drybar appointments we drove back to our hotel where we caught an Uber to the game. The game was at AT&T Stadium and I don’t know about you but that is just something I don’t want to navigate in my car. We had kick ass seats on the third row on the Club Level so we could see everything up close, including Kliff Kingsbury!! Y’all. That man is so freaking HOT. God bless Texas.

A few game day essentials for you…

…monogrammed clear clutch, Kate Spade card case, ANKER portable phone charger and comfy shoes! And of course some LipSense Lip Gloss! I am obsessed with this bougainvillea color, I wear it alone for just the right amount of pink to my lips. Plus it keeps my lips super hydrated and not sticky at all!!

After the game we Ubered back to the hotel and headed back out into Dallas! We found the RewardStyle mural and took a  few photos with it…

sunglasses | red shirt | black vest | necklace | jeans | shoes

…and then we headed over to the Glossier Pop Up Shop! Glossier is a super popular makeup brand and this is their first ever pop up shop!! We were super excited to go and I grabbed a few items I will be sharing with you later this week!

I was dead tired after all of this so we grabbed a quick dinner and headed back to the hotel where I passed out at 7:30pm. I have absolutely no shame in admitting that either. HA!

Sunday morning we got up early, checked out of our hotel and headed over to The Pearl Cup for breakfast. I heard they had amazing coffee there and so I got the Maple Pearl Latte and it was amazing! It was super smooth, has just the right amount of maple and wasn’t overly sweet. I will definitely be back to The Pearl Cup the next time I’m in Dallas.

After breakfast we made our way over to the Dallas Arboretum, I had never been before!! We saw the most amazing pumpkins and the beginning of their Christmas display and I can honestly tell you that I will definitely be going back to check it out in it’s full glory soon!! The Arboretum is amazing!!! I will do a full post on it later this week but will leave you with this teaser pic…

…it also reminded me how much I love pumpkins!!

After the Arboretum I dropped Rebekah of at the airport and went a few more places and then headed home to see my sweet puppy girl! All in all I call it a WIN of a weekend. Texas Tech BEAT Baylor and I had a much needed weekend getaway with my best friend!

Have you been to Dallas??
What’s you favorite thing to do in Dallas??
Who is your favorite football team??

We’ve been to Dallas, or more specifically, THROUGH Dallas. I’d really love to visit one day, though. It’s such a beautiful city.

I love Dallas! I’ve been there a couple of times, and it’s so much fun! My favorite part of the area is fining little bars with live music. They REALLY know how to play music down there.

Wow! I live an hour from Dallas and rarely go. But, this Shake Shack business is pretty darn enticing! If I could go, I would SO hit that mushroom burger!

I’ve never been to Dallas – not even Texas! Sounds like you had a super fun weekend. It is so fun to hang out with a good friend and enjoy good things! I’ll have to check out your lip gloss, I do need one that isn’t sticky.

Wow that looks like a fun time. I have never been to Texas but my husband had to go for work and didn’t do anything but work and skype. We need to head out as a family so we can see everything.

I’ve only been to Texas a few times. Every time I go for business and I don’t get time to really enjoy the city.

    Yumm at Shake Shack.
