Biscuit Love Brunch

This post contains affiliate links.

A couple weeks ago I went to Nashville for the night while on my way to Ohio and stayed with my girl Jenn!  Jenn lives in The Gulch and I am kind of obsessed with the area!! Everything you could imagine is at your fingertips…boutiques, blowout bars, workout studios, great places to eat and so much more!! Plus it’s very pet friendly…which is good because I brought my Sophie girl with me!!

I got in late that Saturday night, thank you crazy Memphis traffic, so we just ordered in via UberEats and decided to do brunch the next morning. Now let me just say that I live in a pretty well populated area in Central Arkansas but we don’t have UberEats!! I totally wish we did, although I might never leave my house other than going to work if I did. HA!!

We stayed up late catching up on life and then slept in on Sunday and finally drug ourselves out to brunch. I think I mentioned in a previous Nashville post that Jenn lives right by Biscuit Love!! WE went this past summer and since it was right there we decided to go again this time I was in town. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!!

The line looked pretty long to me but we wound up only having to wait in it 30 minutes and I didn’t think that was too bad considering it was around 11am on a beautiful spring Sunday morning. I did see people walk up, take a look at the line and walk away. If you ever do get the chance to go to Biscuit Love don’t be intimidated by the line!! They are really good at keeping it moving!

Once we got inside we decided to eat at the bar. I also had to pick up a few goodies to take back home with me, because I am always buying cute coffee mugs and I can’t resist a good Strawberry Preserves!! My mouth is watering just thinking about those preserves! LOL!

Of course we just had to split an order of Bonuts for an appetizer. Bonuts are what Biscuit Love is famous for. They are fried biscuit dough that is opted with lemon marscapone and served over blueberry compote. They are also heavily sprinkled with sugar and will literally melt in your mouth!! Holy moly my mouth is literally watering y’all. OMG they are so damn good!!

Jenn got the yogurt for her entrée and I got the Bill Neal which is cheese grits topped with shrimp, mushrooms, bacon and a lemon tabasco sauce. That meal is a close second to the shrimp and grits I got from The Majestic in Memphis. AMAZE!!

You know, it’s kind of funny. I have never been a fan of grits of any kind until lately. Now I want them all the time! Does this make me a true southerner now? HA!

After all that amazing food we headed outside and ran right into a flower truck! y’all. This never happens in Arkansas. Maybe I need to get out more?

Anyway, If you are ever in Nashville and searching for a breakfast or brunch spot you should definitely check out Biscuit Love!!

Have you ever been to Biscuit Love??

Wow those fried biscuits look so good. I haven’t made these in a very long time.

I don’t think I care for grits but I do love a nice bowl of oatmeal, cream of wheat, or maltomeal with butter and sugar. Ah the memories of my grandmother making a bowl of malt o meal for breakfast. Yum.
