This past weekend was my sorority’s State Day and I actually got to go!! WOOHOO!! I went to the very first one five years ago and since then it has always fallen on a weekend I had to work and I couldn’t get off for it so I was super pumped to be able to attend this one! I love seeing my sisters…catching up with the girls I was in with and meeting all of the new girls. Going always makes me want to get super involved again and I truly wish I had the time to. Why does life have to be so busy? UGH.
My sister Zayna came up Friday night and stayed with me…fun fact- we pledged together 15 years ago this fall. Fall ’02 represent!! No, it doesn’t feel like it was that long ago. Yes, we really are that old. HA!
I also got to see my sister Haley!! I haven’t seen Haley in a few years, we have both moves around quite a bit, but she is seriously the BEST and I am so glad I got to see her!!!
After State Day I went shopping with Zayna and totally took advantage of the Lane Bryant dressing room while she was trying on clothes…HA!! #LaneStyle y’all!!
And in case you were wondering the pink loafers are Uggs (super comfy), the floral kimono is from a boutique last year (no longer available, similar here and here), jeans are Lane Bryant (I roll mine up) and striped tank is Lane Bryant!
I also went and got my eyebrows tinted and shaped the night before State Day. I go to Just Blow – A Blowout Bar in Little Rock and I love it. I always thought people were silly for getting their brows tined but I totally get it now!! I didn’t fill my brows in that morning (I had to work that day) and I thought I looked naked without it!! I felt super weird and people kept asking me what I did different that day so trust me when I say brows do make a difference!!! Top is before (obviously) and bottom is after.
In other news I got a new car! Totally unplanned, nothing happened to my old one, it was just time. I will tell you all about it later this week but I love my new ride!!
In other beauty news, one of my friends sent me a ton of LimeLight samples and I can’t wait to try them all. Haven’t heard of Limelight yet? No fear, I have a whole blog post planned for next week!!

Thank you!! I think we all hit that “frumpy feeling” stage at one point or another. It’s hard to work through but when you do getting dressed is so much more fun!!
