Invisalign Update…I’m FINISHED!!

invisalginjourney

Wow. All I can say is wow. I started my Invisalign journey back in January and I didn’t think it would be over so soon!! I went from zero to hero (anyone remember what movie that was from??) in SIX months. That just seems crazy to me.

I wrote all about the start of my Invisalign journey in February and told you all about my history with orthodontists. I also told you about having to have a tooth pulled and my anxiousness to actually start treatment.

I picked up my very first Invisalign tray February 26 and I was sooooo excited!! I out those bad boys on and in that instant my world changed. No more drinking anything other than water and no more snacking whenever I wanted. It was difficult but so so so worth it. I was just a little bit excited…

I didn’t post about my treatment again until I was about half way done and I really wish I had documented more!! It seems crazy to me how much my teeth moved in just ten weeks…

Right after I got back from vacation I went for what was to be my very last Invisalign appointment.

My orthodontist came in and checked my teeth, told me I was done, took my “bumps” off my teeth, and that was it!!

Of course my first questions was “now what happens”??? Well I still have to wear my trays at night. I just wore my last tray until I got my final set. I got four sets of trays and I just wear them every night for the rest of my life. I could have opted for a permanent retainer but that just seemed like way too much of a hassle.

I got four sets of trays included with what I originally paid for my Invisalign. They should last a couple of years if I take care of them. When I am out of trays I can just call my orthodontist and she can order me new ones and ship them to me, wherever I may be.

I am so proud of my smile now and I have so much more confidence. Thank you Invisalign for making me smile bigger than ever before!!

And for reference here is my before and after…

Those look awesome. And seem to be much easier and faster than the three years of braces I endured as a teen. I do have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth though. It’s bee there since I was in eight grade, and I don’t even notice it anymore.

Wow your teeth look great! I’m actually in my last 6 weeks of Invisalign (it’s been almost a year since I started!) I love seeing before and after shots. It gets me so excited for when I’m finally done this October <3

That looks great! My daughter is looking like she might need some form of dental correction, and I love how easy and noninvasive Invasalign is!

Wow your teeth really improved! I’d be excited too! You have an awesome smille and I’m sure much less invasive than braces. If ever need my teeth to be straighter, I hope this option is available to me.

Wow! That is quite a change. I bet you feel so great about the Invisalign treatment. I will be sure to recommend it to others who need braces to see if they qualify.

This is so cool. Invisalign is just awesome technology. It’s so nice that even adults can correct their smile discreetly.

Your teeth look fantastic! Our teenage daughter has had braces, and now has invisalign for an additional few months . Hope she is happy with the results.

Great results! Your lower teeth especially moved well! I am a Dental Hygienist and see quite a few Invisalign treatments. It’s such a great way to straighten teeth. Keep smiling! And wear your retainers lol ;-)

Wow. This is pretty amazing. I needed braces as a kid but my mom couldn’t afford them. My teeth are seriously crooked, so this is something I need to look into. Your teeth look wonderful!

You have such a beautiful smile! Congrats! My teenager had braces, and she wears trays at night now that they are off, but her teeth keep moving. It drives her crazy.

Congratulations! I’m thinking about getting traditional braces again since my teeth have shifted since I last had braces.
