Visiting New York City

This post contains affiliate links.

We are on the stop number FOUR on the ultimate east coast road trip!! My vacation starts next week and so far I have covered what I want to see and do/see in Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City and today we are on to the Big Apple!!

I love NYC!! I have been there a few times but my bestie, Libby, who I am traveling with has never been!! I can’t wait to show off my fave city to her!!

We have tickets to a Yankees/Red Sox game at yankee stadium our first night in the city and I can’t wait to do that. I have never been to Yankee Stadium before!

There are a few more places I want to see that I have missed every time I’ve been to NYC….Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Guggenheim, and the new 09/11 memorial. That wasn’t finished last time I was there but I have been to the site each time to see the progress.

Some places that I have been that I definitely want to see again are Times Square (our hotel is in TS!!!),  Bryant Park, the NYC Public Library, Rockefeller Center, and a broadway play!! I saw West Side Story last time and I can’t wait to get up early and hit the TKTS line and see what tickets are on sale that day!!

As far as eating goes, I am definitely splurging in NYC. I really want a burger and shake from Shake Shack, a cupcake from Magnolia Bakery, a hot dog from a street vendor, and pretty much just all the carbs and sweets I can stuff my face with. I can’t wait!!

I love NYC and can’t wait to go!!!

Have you ever been to NYC??
What is number one on your must-do list for NYC??
Where is your fave place to eat in NYC??

New York is one of my absolute most favorite cities to visit. It’s like another world. It’s far away the best city in the country, in my opinion.

I just came back from NYC! I thought it was magnificent. Especially Coney Island. That was my favorite stop on the whole trip. You should make sure to check it out while you are there!

Haven’t been in NYC, looks like a very busy place. That’s one great thing about road trip, you get to see different places.

You will love it! I went a few years back for a blog conference and hated that I didn’t have a lot of time to browse. Just be sure to hit up Time Square in the night to check out all the lights and people watch.

New York City is just simply amazing! There are so many sights to see, so many different food to sample, and activities to attend. Every time I think of NYC, I break out into a song.. “I wanna wake up in a city that doesn’t sleep..”

New York born and bred, now an Aussie who calls Australia home! I would never get tired of reading and seeing what’s happening in New York and there will always be a special part in my heart being a New Yorker!

One of my most favorite places to visit is NYC. The pizza alone is reason enough for the trip. ;)

I want to go to the big Apple one of these days. I want to go to central park, the huge mall, rockafeller center, and the 911 memorial. Maybe one of these days my family can go. There are so many places that I want to visit. I hope you enjoy your trip.

New York is on top of my list for places to visit in the world. I’m so fascinated with the place and I guess it is because of all the movies…

I have never been to New York but I’ve watched a lot of Gossip Girl and a few reruns of Sex & the City and it looks like such a beautiful/diverse place. My brother is a major Yankee fan despite growing up in LA and he’d probably kill to see the Yankees play the Sox, lol. I hope you have a great trip with your friend!

New York City looks like a busy place. I’d like to visit, but just for a day or two. I don’t like chaos for very long.

I just got back from my trip. I went to TKTS and got 4th row to Fish in the Dark. That was a good and funny show. Crude though. ;) I then saw Hedwig later in the week WHICH WAS AMAZING. Darren Criss was Hedwig and he is kind of my favorite. I think Taye Diggs is now Hedwig who is also kind of amazing. So, I know the show would be good!

I’ve been to NYC plenty of times, but haven’t seen a Yankees game (yet), or visited any of the zoos there – I have to. Every time I go there though, I do snag a piece of cheesecake from Junior’s. We also see a comedy show at Caroline’s on Broadway. Times Square is so cool.
