A couple of weeks ago I went to St. Louis with my friend Kassie to watch the Cubs play the Cardinals at Busch Stadium! We also went to The Arch and the St. Louis Zoo and stayed at the cutest hotel known to man. Overall it was a pretty great trip and I can’t wait to share it with you!
To preface this post I had worked the night before and only slept an hour or so in the car when we made it to St. Louis. Our first stop was to the Arch because Kassie had never been before. If you have been reading here any amount of time you may remember that I visited the Arch a few years ago on a Labor Day trip to STL.
The Arch has changed a little since the last time I went. Not the Arch itself (obviously) but the entrance and the museum and cafes and such that were added to the inside. You could seriously spend all day there learning about the Arch, watching the movie about how it was built and then riding up to the top. We just did a quick ride to the top but it was still a fun experience!
The views were stunning as always and it was fun getting to see Busch Stadium before we went to the game that night.
And of course we took some pics with the Arch itself before heading to our super cute hotel…
If you know me then you know how much I LOVE a good deal so for this trip I used my trusty Priceline account and booked our room using a Priceline Express Deal and we got the BEST room at the CUTEST hotel! We stayed at The Cheshire St Louis and it was built like a cute English Inn.
Each room has a theme and we stayed in the Mary Shelley room. It came with a copy of Frankenstein and had some of her writings framed on the wall. If you are into the Royal Family and all things British you will LOVE this hotel. So you know I totally geeked out over the whole thing! HA!! #NoShame
After we got checked in to our room we got ready for the game and then grabbed an Uber to the stadium. We could have driven but I am so glad we didn’t because parking was insane!!
And just for the record I am not a Cubs fan but Kassie is so I got a shirt. Truth be told I just really love baseball games and will go to any game I am invited to, it’s one of the few sports I understand! HA! We had great seats on the third base line and a lady even got hit with a foul ball not too far from us!
And even though the Cubs lost we still had a GREAT time!!
We went out after the game and didn’t get back to our hotel until super late and the next day we went to the St. Louis Zoo!! I took waaaay too many zoo pics so that will have to be a post all on it’s own.
If you get the chance to go to STL i highly recommend it, there is so much to see and do there! A girl’s trip to St. Louis is a great idea if you need to get away with your girls!!
Have you been to St. Louis??
