It’s Friday and you know what that means…it’s time for the FRIDAY FIVE!!! If you are new to these parts then you should know that I reserve Fridays to talk about five random things and today’s five is no exception. Completely random but completely blog worthy. Let’s get to it!
ONE. Today is the GRAND OPENING of a new Ulta store super close to my house!! Three cheers for Ulta!! I am super stoked because I got invited to the Grand Opening to interview the manager of the store and watch the ribbon cutting! I am also going to shop until I drop because Ulta also sent a coupon for 20% off my total purchase (prestige brands included!!) so I can’t wait to use that!!
TWO. I started watching The Returned on Netflix and have fallen in love with it and then I found out there was only one season with no plans for another. Booooo. That makes me really sad!! And now I need a new show to watch!! Recommendations please!!
THREE. Confession. Earlier this week I talked about purchasing Viva la Juicy’s Sucré and this week I purchased Viva la Juicy’s Glacé. I couldn’t help it, I found too good a deal on them to pass them up!! I got both of these perfumes from La Belle Perfumers, which is a wholesaler and I got them both at half price!! They both came in their original packaging and were sealed up perfectly and I’m sorry but I just can’t pay full price when I know I can get them for half price. Ls Belle carries most major perfumer brands so if there is one you want but don’t want to/can’t pay full price then check them out! I admit that I was pretty skeptical about them at first but both of my perfumes are legit!!
FOUR. The other day I was waxing poetic about these fabulous shoes for fall and I had such a great response to them I wanted to share another pair of shoes that I’m obsessed with. I am going to go ahead and admit that when the “mule” shoes started becoming popular a few months ago I was against it (who is surprised there, not me! HA! I am always super late at following trends.) but I actually found a super cute pair in the Nordstrom Anniversary sale that I wore the other day and I loved them!! They are actually what inspired me to look for another pair and then I found those bow ones I shared the other day. Obsessed y’all. Also- I’m a bit of a shoe whore. HA!!
FIVE. The eclipse. I feel like I have seen nothing but talk of the eclipse on Facebook and all social media. Schools are closing so kids can stay home, people are cancelling doctor’s appointments, people are traveling to far away places so they can see it properly, people are freaking out about the glasses being sold out everywhere and so on and so forth. I am almost as tired of hearing about the eclipse as I was about the election. I get it people. You are all scared of the unknown and that’s ok. But please don’t blow up my Facebook page with your “end of the world” hysterics. Has anyone else seen this on their social media?? Just my weirdo friends and family?? HA!!

That’s awesome they just opened an Ulta near you. They have one near me, and I love it. I’m sure people will start dumpster diving in their garbage soon (I can’t believe that’s a thing, lol.)

People act like the eclipse has never happened. News flash it has. I live in the DC area so most people will step out to check it out. Other are turning it into a skip day. We love an excuse to skip work and drink all day.
We have free glasses from NASA. I will check it out and walk back into my building. Not a big deal for me.
I am totally and utterly obsessed with those shoes. I am totally looking forward to some comfy and adorable flats this Fall.
Oooh, I love those shoes. I have been looking for a pair just like that one. They would be perfect for everyday outfits.
Looks like I need to put Returned on my list of shows to watch. I never heard of this til now. That must be nice to be getting an Ulta near you too!
I understand the hoopla over the eclipse. It’s one of those things that everyone wants to experience. What makes me sad is people are already lining up in OR for it and destroying the lands with their trash. Ugh. As for the end of the world, haven’t seen anything about that. I recently started watching the Neflix original show, Gypsy. I don’t watch television, don’t even own one, so its rare that I get a chance to watch anything. This looked good and I watch it here and there. Think I am on ep. 4.
I don’t get how people are making a huge deal about the Eclipse. Looking at it can ruin your eyes. I am not doing anything special that day other than staying out of the sun.
Hmm, is the returned kind of like the departed? Never heard of it, but I’ll have to watch the preview. I have not seen anyone talk about the end of the world over the eclipse. It’s not something you see every day or even every year, so I get why people would want to see it. It’s a once in a lifetime kind of deal.
I witnessed a Total Solar Eclipse in my hometown, General Santos City, Philippines in 1988 and the world didn’t end. LOL. It’s going to be 90% something here in our city tomorrow, but it’s okay. We are not going to drive somewhere just to see a 100% solar eclipse.
I’ve never seen The Returned before! We’re always looking for new shows to watch and I think we’ll check that one out.
