This past weekend I was in Fayetteville for Megaphone Summit, a blogging and influencer conference, and I had originally planned to post about my experience at the conference today but decided instead to talk about my trip! I am still processing info from the conference and am feeling a little overwhelmed so please bear with me!
I drove up to Fayetteville last Thursday to see some of my friends! I stayed with one of my best friends, Elizabeth, whose wedding I was in!
I met her at Crown Beauty Bar and we got our eyebrows shaped, waxed, and tinted! It was actually very relaxing and fun. And you know I couldn’t get out of there without buying anything…HA!
After Crown we met another friend and went to eat at Hammontree’s. I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first because Hammontree’s is known as a gourmet grilled cheese shop and I was hungry but the food was actually amazing and very filling! I got half of a Honkey (White Cheddar, Jack Cheese, Asiago, Artichoke Hearts, Peppered Bacon, and Smoked Mayo on Sourdough), Crawfish Bisque, and homemade chips. It was seriously delicious!
Next we went to Euna Mae’s. I have followed Euna Mae’s on Instagram forever and have always wanted to go. It’s the cutest kitchen store and has the most amazing smelling candles!! There was soooo much I wanted from the store but somehow walked out without purchasing a thing! I am proud of myself for that, I could have gone ham in that store for sure!
After Euna Mae’s we got caught in the craziest rain storm ever, the day only had a 5% chance of rain, and got stuck in Home Goods for over an hour before we were able to escape to the movies! Elizabeth hadn’t seen Bad Moms yet so we saw that. Even though I had already seen it I still laughed my ass off! HAHAHA!!
The next morning we got up early and headed over to Vintage Market Days. I love a good vintage market and again, surprised myself by not buying anything. HA!! VMD is coming to central Arkansas soon so I may head over there and actually buy some stuff then. They had some seriously cute pumpkins that I need. As if I really need anymore fall decor in my house right now…LOL!
Friday afternoon I went to a photography class as an add on to Megaphone Summit but I will talk about that when I actually do my conference post. That night we had a little walk around and saw some of the local Fayetteville murals and they are just gorgeous!! I love a good mural!!
This owl mural is the newest installment and it was finished literally the day before we got to town. How gorgeous is it?? It was painted by Alexis Dias.
This is also another favorite by Jason Jones. I love love love those pink flowers!!
We also stopped by the Fayetteville Square and I got this pic of the OPO, the Fayetteville Old Post Office. It has been many things over the years but is currently an event center. I think it would make a gorgeous wedding venue!!
Saturday was conference all day but that night Rebekah and I went out to eat at Tacos 4 Life. Call me crazy but one of the reasons I wanted to go was because I heard it was one of Duggar’s favorite places to eat, HA!! But really though it was delicious!! I got the Firecracker Shrimp Quesadillas, on the fall only menu, and it was amazing!! It was a huge quesadilla filled with huge fried shrimp and bang bang sauce. Holy goodness it was amazing!! I only wish I had gotten a pic of my food but I dug in too quick…ha!!
Sunday morning I went to the conference and then took pics around Fayetteville with my fancy camera before heading back to central Arkansas. I got some cool pics of the #MaudeWall that I hope turn out so I can show you here on the blog soon!!
Don’t I look like a real photographer?? I wish…
So that’s pretty much it on my Fayetteville recap from around town. I can’t wait to share more about the conference with you…hopefully that will happen soon!!
Have you ever been to Fayetteville Arkansas??
