Last week I told you about my consultation for a skin service at the Little Rock Cosmetic Service Center and today I am going to tell you all about my facial! Can I just say that I had never been more ready for a facial in all of my life? My skin has just been blah lately and going to Vegas and being in all of that super dry air didn’t help me out at all!

As I mentioned in my last post, Crystal’s room for skin services is extremely tranquil. The bed you lay on is heated and so so so soft!! I think I need a heated bed like that at home, LOL!

The Cosmetic Surgery Center uses Skin Therapeutic skincare products. I had never heard of these products but I can tell you that they work! During my facial I got the usual treatments including a face cleanse, exfoliation, and masks. My treatment also included extraction, a pumpkin enzyme mask (that smelled amazing!!!), and a lactic acid peel. I realize that the peel may sound painful but it was actually pretty dang wonderful.

I don’t know about you but when I think of a peel all I can think about is Samantha from Sex and the City and her burned up face after. You know what I’m talking about?? If not google it. Yeah…not cool!

Well I can happily report that this peel is nothing like that. Lactic Acid peels aid skin cell turnover and is used to improve the appearance of wrinkles, acne, and some skin discoloration. Post-facial my skin was literally glowing and felt so so so good!!

After the peel a moisturizer was applied and then I got a neck, shoulder, and arm massage. This may have been my favorite part of the whole thing! HA! My poor neck and shoulders carry a lot of tension and I have never been more relaxed than during this part of the facial.

One thing I don’t like about most of the facials I have gotten is how greasy my skin feels after. However after this facial my face felt moisturized but not overly so. I really loved how I felt and how I looked! In fact, I was feeling so good I took a little selfie in the car after! As you can see I have no crazy burned look from the peel and I’m not super oily looking either, it was just right! Crystal may just be some sort of skincare magician. Really though…

I had a facial about a million years ago, but I have wanted to go for another one for a long time. I would LOVE to get a peel, too!

I love spoiling myself with facials. I have only done two in my life, but I would go back for a ton more if my budget would allow me to!

I have never had a facial in my life. I have a weird thing about people touching my face. But I do remember the Samantha facial peel episode of Sex and the City….and that’s what I think of when I hear chemical peel

A peel would do wonders for my dry winter skin. If I’m ever in the neighborhood I will check them out and spoil myself.

It has been like three years since I had my last facial. I should find the time to have my skin deeply cleaned. Do you have facials regularly?

This sounds like a great alternative to some of the other options out there. This may be a good thing for my mom who has been looking for something like this.
