Fall Lip Essentials

fall lip essentials

I don’t know about you but I am a little bit obsessed with lip products. I almost always have a lip balm and something with color in it on me. I went through a phase this summer where I kept forgetting my lip balm at home and so I was constantly buying new ones on the go. Frustrating but at least I had an excuse to keep trying new/different products?? HA!

As we are slooooowly transitioning into fall I just wanted to share with you a few of my favorite lip essentials for fall!

lips

I love a good lip exfoliator, especially during the fall/winter months when my lips are exposed to cold weather and tend to dry out more easily. I have tried a few different exfoliators in the past but this E.L.F. one really seems to do the trick. I love that it is in a lipstick tube and you can just swipe it on, rub your lips together, and rinse it off. It has an oil in it too that leaves your lips moisturized after. I usually do this at night after I wash my face and am getting ready for bed.

From the website…”Gently exfoliate lips to remove dry, chapped skin with our Lip Exfoliator! A sweet sugar and smoothing sensation, infused with Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Avocado, Grape and Jojoba Oils to nourish and protect. This Lip Exfoliator treats and smoothes lips for a conditioned and revitalized feel.”

ELF

After I exfoliate I love to follow up with a good, thick balm to protect my lips. I have been obsessed with this C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve that I got a few weeks ago. You can actually use it all over your skin but I love it on my lips the most. I put it on right after I exfoliate and go to bed and all throughout the day.

From the website…“C.O. Bigelow’s famous Rose Salve has been a favorite since the early days, due to its ability to care for lips and beautify skin. Emulsified with extra-soothing rose extract, to help ease irritation and condition the skin. May be used on lips, face, cuticles, elbows, knees, chapped or very dry skin patches.”

COBigelow

For color I have been obsessed with these Ulta Lip Crayons! I got one when I was in a wedding a few months ago and got the Rocker Pink as a bridesmaid gift and  seriously loved it. I have had my eye on American Girl and Vintage but I always get distracted in Ulta and forget about them…bad Ricci!!

Ulta

Another color product I love is Revlon’s Colorburst Lip Butter. I wrote an entire blog post about my love for them a few months ago and I am still obsessed. I love that they have great color pigmentation but go on super smooth and are nourishing like a lip balm. Berry Smoothie is my go-to for everyday looks.

Revlon

Last, but certainly not least, are my go-to lip balms. I have always worn lip balms and am pretty obsessed with them. I keep them in my car, bag, my locker at work, and in jacket pockets…LOL!! Some of my favorites right now are Burt’s Bees Wild Cherry and Acai Berry. I discovered Burt’s Bees last fall when they came out with a Pumpkin Spice lip balm and have since used both tubes that I bought. I got both of these at Ulta during a sale and I love them!! Perfect flavor and perfectly moisturizing.

Since you are so heavily into beauty, you should check out being a brand ambassador for a product on Instagram. You would get a lot of free product

This is my first time to hear of a lip exfoliator. I love lipsticks, but I have tried this one before. It makes sense to me that we all need a mild lip exfoliator to get rid of dead skin. Thanks for giving me this new information.

I love Burts bees. They really work and keep my lips supple during extremely cold or extremely hot weather. Those lip colors are all so awesome. I love the colors. They are just right up my alley. Not too loud and flashy.

Burt’s Bees brand is really popular around here. I’ve had a couple lip balm tubes, but my son keeps taking them. It’s kind of frustrating, especially since I buy him some and he loses them… lol

I love exfoliators I am always testing new ones! I like to wear a signature red lip everyday, so I have to make sure I keep my lips in top form, the smoother the lip, the less dated or aging a red lip makes the face appear!
