Road Trip Recap: NYC Day 2

This post contains affiliate links.

Happy Thursday pretties!!! I don’t know about you but this week has flown by for me!! Yesterday I told you all about my first day in NYC and today I am covering day 2. Get ready for a NYC photo explosion!!

I started out the day with a  selfie of course, because NYC!

NYCD2Selfie

First up we walked from our hotel to Grand Central Station. I took a wrong turn somewhere and wound up leading us into a random side door so poor Libby didn’t get the full effect but it is still magical place. I love love love Grand Central Station!!

NYCD2GCentral

After GCS we went to Bryant Park. This is my favorite park in NYC!!

NYCD2BryantPark

It’s right by the library so of course we had to pop in there. I am a huge Sex and the City fan and I had to go stand on the steps where Carries stood when she found out Big was skipping out on her. Boooo on him. I still loved the library though!!

NYCD2Library

We went to lunch at Ichi Umi after the library. Ichi Umi has a huge all you can say sushi buffet and it is my fave!! It was $18 for lunch, you just can’t beat that!!

While still in our sushi coma we found our next tour bus stop and hopped on. We were going to go to the Empire State Building but there was a huge wait time, maybe next time? So instead we went to see the site of the World Trade Center. Last time I was in NYC it was still being built so I was so glad to see the monuments and Freedom Tower. We were going to tour the museum but again the line was forever long. Sad day.

NYCD2911

After seeing the monuments we hopped back on our bus and just rode for a little bit. I got another shot of Freedom Tower…

…and got to see the Hudson River.

It rained for a few minutes and we were on top of the double decker so of course I had to get a rainy selfie!

We rode the bus back to Times Square and did a little shopping…

NYCD2Chocolate

That night we crashed hard in our hotel room and ordered an authentic NYC pizza. This thing was HUGE!! And amazing!!

The next morning we got up early and packed our bags to head to the next city on our road trip. before we headed out we white girled out and stopped at Starbucks and got a drink. Our hotel was next door to the Times Square Starbucks and it was HUGE!!

And then we were off to our next city…

Can you guess where we went next??
What is your favorite thing about NYC??

I love NYC. I am only about a 3 hour drive from there, so we go down all the time. It’s one of my favorite cities.

I haven’t been to NYC since I was 8 years old. I saw a few of the major attractions but apparently there are a bunch that I need to return to see. What a beautiful and lively city!

I just love NYC! I am happy you enjoyed your trip there too. Whenever I am in the area, I make it a point to drop by the National Sept. 11 museum. There are so many words you wish you could say, but instead, you’d just stand there in silence.

I adore NYC!!! I’ve been twice and I always feel the electric in the air when I’m in the city! Love love love it! We live in such a rural area so I don’t think I could ever LIVE in a big city like NYC, but I sure do love to visit! I can’t wait to go back.
