10 Winter Skincare Faves under $10

Winter is coming {insert Games of Thrones reference here}…or in some places, (cough, cough, Arkansas) it’s already here. I don’t know about you but winter wreaks havoc on my skin. Just when I get I get it all balanced out from summer sunburns and oiliness, here comes winter to dry me all out. Yuck!

Luckily for you I have come to save the day with a list of my favorite skincare products for winter to keep your skin super hydrated during the winter months and at the same time, won’t break the bank!

1. Vaseline Lip Therapy in Rose // $1.77 // I consider lips to be a part of your skin too so we will definitely cover those today…this has been my go-to lip balm for over a year now and I love it!! It keeps my lips hydrated all day long and adds a nice touch of color. It feels sticky when you scoop it out of the jar but goes on nice and smooth. My only complaint is that I really wish it came in a tube so I could carry it in my scrub pocket at work…

2. Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleanser + Makeup Remover // $5.99 // Normally I use the plain Neutrogena for my everyday face wash but in the winter it is good to have something that’s moisturizing as well and this Neutrogena Naturals does the trick for me. It has a very creamy consistency and doesn’t dry my face out at all. I also love that it is a makeup remover as well. Believe it or not, not all face wash was invented to remove your makeup. Unless it says so right on the package you may not be getting everything off of your face.

3.  Garnier Clean + Nourishing Cleansing Oil // $5.99 // I have never use a cleansing oil but I have heard really good things about this one. I think an oil would be perfect to wash your face with during the winter time. I smelled it the other day at Target and it smelled really good. And we all know that is important when buying anything!

4. Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream // $9.71 // My usual go-to moisturizer is a gel formula and while that works great for me 90% off the time I feel that during the winter months I need something a little more on my skin. My Mom actually used this when she was battling cancer and loved it and so when I saw this at Target the other day I picked it up. I have found that it’s definitely a “heavier” moisturizer than my gel formulas that I love but I also feel like this will keep my face nice and hydrated during these upcoming, dry winter months!

5. Olay Fresh Effects Shine Shine Go Away // $5.99 // I love the majority of the Olay Fresh Effects line. I’m pretty sure there isn’t a product that I haven’t tried yet. I love this face wash because it makes my face feel squeaky clean. It’s a funky silver color and smells really great too. It definitely does what it says and removes the shine (oil) from my face all day!!

6. Trader Joe’s Coconut Oil // $9.93 // *disclaimer: If you are lucky enough to have a Trader Joe’s store near you, you can get this amazing coconut oil for $5.99, I used the cheapest price I could find on Amazon, which was $9.93.* I LOVE LOVE LOVE using coconut oil as a moisturizer. I use it on my face, elbows, and knees! I had some generic coconut oil that worked ok but this summer when I went to TJ’s I grabbed this one and it blew my mind!! It smells like a coconut and makes my skin super soft. I haven’t put it in my hair yet simply because I have heard horror stories about clogged up drains after. Boo.

7. E.L.F. Lip Exfoliator // $3.00 // One thing I think a lot of people forget about during the fall is to exfoliate. I am a huge fan of exfoliation and following it up with lotion, that keeps my skin smooth for forever!! I was so happy to find this lip exfoliator at Target and for only $3!! The skin on our lips is more fragile than the rest of our skin so it’s important to be gentle and not use anything too harsh on them. I use this exfoliator at least twice a week after I brush my teeth at night and slather some Burt’s Bees on them and I am good to go for bed!! 8. Eucerin Daily Skin Balance // $6.99 // I bought this lotion this past summer and have almost used the whole thing! Finally!! It is good stuff. I know I usually forget to lotion my legs and body during the winter months but it’s just as important now so don’t forget!!

9. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes in Night Calming // $6.51 // I love taking my makeup off with these when I get home from work. These Neutrogena Night Calming wipes smell amazing and do a great job at taking off all of my makeup. These are really great to use any time of the day (not just at night) and are especially great to use if your face wash doesn’t have a makeup remover in it!

10. St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub // $3.89 // This St. Ives takes my back to high school. I always seem to forget about it and then I see it at Target to WalMart and I remember how good it is. You just can’t beat the price and it’s gentle enough to use several times a week. I love the nights when I exfoliate and follow up with my Cetaphil moisturizer!!

    Winter dries me out, too! I need to switch to the Neutrogena Naturals. A lot of the face cleanser wipes dry my face out even more and actually feels like my face is burning and I can’t use them. This one sound awesome. Great list of products.

    LOVE this list! I have been a fan of St. Ives since high school. Always makes me feel like I’ve really done something to my skin after I’ve used it. Have you tried coconut oil as a makeup remover before your cleanser. Try it in the shower, before you use your Cetaphil…works wonders!

    LOVE THIS LIST! I am constantly trying to find something for my lips and hands. And my sister was touting the benefits of coconut oil for dry skin just the other day. She said it is also great to cook with. I didn’t even know Vaseline made a lip therapy. Thank you.

    Number 1 and 8 I have but I don’t frequent trader joes that often had no idea they sell things for the skin. I have one near me but ordering online is probably easier.

    Yes Cetaphil is a must for Carsyn’s sensitive skin during the winter. I have that vaseline lip therapy. Love it!

    Okay so just now I was in Walgreens and I saw that Lip stuff and thought of you! If I wasn’t addicted (FOR REAL) to Carmex, I would try it!

    LOVE fresh effects everything! It smells SO good!

    LOVE these suggestions! I’m going to have to give them a try. I just bough the Josie Maran cleansing oil which I LOVE but the price is a little steep. I think when this bottle runs out I’ll give the Garnier brand a shot! I’ve been wanting to try that ELF lip exfoliator so now that you like it I’ll have to :) Oh and I need to whip up a batch of your sugar scrub ASAP. That scrub beats all the rest!!

    I’m so addicted to lotions and creams and lip balms and bath stuff and all that business – so this post is perfect for me – seriously. I used to use a Body Shop lip exfoliator all the time, might have to look into the ELF one!
