Hello December! I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas and I’m just now getting around to posting pics from my trip to the Dallas Arboretum waaaaay back in October. Oops! What can I say, it’s 2020. HA!
If you know me at all then you know my obsession love of pumpkins. Fall is my absolute most favorite season of them all and I could honestly have my pumpkin decor up all year and not even be mad about it. In my opinion the Dallas Arboretum has the BEST pumpkin display/patch of them all and I went in 2017 and 2018 but somehow missed 2019 and so this year I was determined to go, pandemic and all!
Luckily for me, my friend Elizabeth is always down for a road trip so we loaded up one afternoon and headed for Dallas. We stayed at the Gaylord Texan and went to Drybar the next morning for blowouts before heading to the Arboretum to see the pumpkins. Despite the pandemic and having to wear masks 24/7, we had a great trip!
Here are a few of my favorite pumpkin pics…
Also, can I just say that these pics make me miss my long (for me) hair!! I cut it off to right above my shoulder a few weeks ago because thanks to my crazy hormones/losing weight/VSG surgery it started falling out and shorter style just made more sense. And while I love the shorter (and thicker) hair I miss being able to put it in a proper ponytail! HA! More on all of that later.
This year’s theme was The Art of the Pumpkin and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Everyone social distanced and we only took our masks off for pics and stayed away from people when we had them off. It was outdoors and tickets were extremely limited so I felt completely safe.
I miss it already and can’t wait to see what the Arboretum does for next year. Also, I am really hoping for better weather next year. The last two times I have been to see the pumpkins it has been cold and rainy. Fingers crossed for better weather next fall. LOL!
Have you been to see the pumpkins at the Dallas Arboretum??
