Friday Five No. 65

Happy freaking Friday!! Has this been the weirdest week ever or what?? I have had the most random things happen and I’m really just happy this week is almost over!!! I almost wrote that I needed a redo for this week but I really don’t want to relive it! HA! On the plus side it is finally Friday and you know what that means…it’s time for the Friday Five!!

If you are new around here then you should know that I reserve Fridays for random things. Things I love and feel like should get a mention on the blog but may not warrant a full post, you know what I mean?? Anyway, enough rambling, let’s get to it!!

ONE. Today would have been my Mom’s 60th birthday. She passed away the summer after I graduated from high school so in my mind she will forever be 42…forever young. Happy Birthday Mom!!

TWO. Today is also my bestie Rebekah’s birthday!! I’m glad that my Mom has such an amazing birthday twin!! Happy Birthday Rebekah!!

THREE. Back to my weird week…I started off the week by having the exhaust pipe on my car detach itself from my muffler and make a big BOOM sound and then an awful scraping noise as I drug it down the road. Luckily it happened right by a body shop so I wheeled it into their parking lot and they knew just what had happened and got me fixed up really quick (and for free!!) and back on the road. I had it checked out again later in the week and the car got a clean bill of health and the mechanics had no idea why it fell of to start with?? My poor car has been through a lot in it’s year and a half old life…my wreck last fall when that lady rear ended me and now this! So weird!!

FOUR. I am in the midst of an awful peri-oral dermatitis flare up and may or may not have cried in the Target parking lot earlier this week after I had been awake almost 24 hours, my face looked and felt disgusting and I was trying to make an appointment with my dermatologist. Allegedly they had no appointments available until December but then miraculously they had a last minute cancellation I got an appointment for Thursday (yesterday). I am writing a full blog post about this flare up that will go live next week but my fingers are crossed that this new treatment regimen will work!!!

FIVE. I got my flu shot yesterday!!! I don’t know about you but I don’t mind getting my flu shot. They are mandatory at my job (hospital) but even if they weren’t I would still get one. It’s not just about protecting yourself but also the people around you. I love my people so I get a flu shot. Also- this filter from Instagram Stories is currently giving me life. My under eye bags were on another level and you can’t even tell how bad they are here! LOL!

So that’s this week’s Friday Five!! A couple birthdays, a weird week, a peri-oral dermatitis flare up and a flu shot!! I guess my week wasn’t so bad after all. Happy Friday to you!!!
