My 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Must Haves

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA around here lately…moving will do that to you! I finally got internet at my apartment a few days ago and have been slammed busy with unpacking and work ever since. Ugh….but if you know me at all then you know how much I love a good sale and especially the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!! What’s so special about this sale you ask? It’s the ONE time a year that Nordstrom does some something CRAZY. They put all of their new stuff ON SALE. Who does that? Normally stores wait until end-of-season to put anything on sale but one time a year Nordstrom has a HUGE pre-season sale where you can stock up on everything from clothing to home stuff to accessories and beauty stuff and pretty much anything you can think to put on sale. And trust me when I say it’s really that good.

So today I thought I would share with you the items I personally purchased (some I haven’t gotten in the mail yet, ugh) and other items on my “must have” list. Now while the sale is only open to card holders right now, have no fear because it will be open to everyone July 20! And yes, it may look like some items have sold out but last year they did a HUGE restock the day the sale opened to the public so don’t lose hope if your favorite item looks sold out, just put it on your wish list an hope for the best!

Let’s start with beauty…y’all know I love me some beauty products and a few of my ride-or-dies are in the sale!!

I absolutely love that my ride-or-die toner, cleansing balm, curling wand and dry shampoo/texture spray are in the sale! You better believe I stocked up on them and if I were on the fence about purchasing the drybar wand NOW is the time to do it!! For this price you basically buy the wand and get all the products as freebies. It’s a GREAT deal!!

Next up, let’s talk accessories! I am all about some accessories, especially during the sale. Last year I got a few Kendra Scott necklaces that I still wear all the time and get compliments on. You just can’t go wrong with Kendra Scott! I grabbed two new KS necklaces as well as a new pair of sunglasses and a wristlet. Here are my faves from the sale accessories…

I love these two Kendra Scott Necklaces! They are the perfect length and I think the gold is just classic. I am also glad they had a black necklace in the sale this year, I had been looking for one but couldn’t ever find one I just loved and this one will be perfect for fall.

I also LOVE these Tory Burch sunglasses! You may remember that I purchased a pair of Tory shades last fall but I eventually sold them on Poshmark because they were too big and heavy for my face. I am glad to repost that these fit perfectly (they are a little smaller) and I have already worn them a few times! LOL!

I also love the Tory Burch mini wallet, it is super similar to a Kate Spade that I own and is prefect to throw in my work bag when I need to carry a few cards but not my WHOLE wallet. And I can’t wait to get the Kate Spade wristlet in, I see it traveling a LOT with me this fall!!

Now on to shoes! Normally shoes are my JAM during the sale but this year I only bought one pair! I know, I know. But to be totally honest with you, I don’t need any more shoes right now and they just didn’t have a lot of shoes that I thought were cute. Sorry!! But anyway, here are my picks!

This year I was only in the market for a pair of brown loafers and believe it or not, I found the perfect ones!! I snagged these Ugg mocs and I can’t wait to get them in! I actually bought them in hot pink a few years ago and know how comfy they are so I can’t wait to try these babies on!

And finally clothing! I have a love/hate relationship with Nordstrom’s clothing department. In store it is so hard to find anything in the plus department in the actual store but online is fantastic! I have been losing weight so I am currently in between plus and regular and so shopping is a nightmare anyway so all I bought were a couple of tops. I may or may not have to return them but fingers crossed they fit!!

I need a top for some headshots I am taking in a few weeks so I bought this black and white striped shirt to try for that (because I am stripes obsessed) and and a white ruffle sleeved short that I cannot for the life of me find right now, it must be sold out at the moment. I also bought a few light weight long sleeve tops for fall that are super casual because let’s face it, I’m a super casual kind of dresser. I wear scrubs to work in and any other time I am just laying around the house or at Target so it is what it is. LOL!!
