If you know me at all then you know that fragrance is my thing. I have a signature scent, my shampoos/conditioners/body washes/etc must all pass the “sniff test” before being purchased and I always do my best to make sure my home always smells amazing. Now that may seem silly to some people but my grandmother, Neenee, made sure I knew the importance of a first impression at a very young age and she always said that smell was just as important (if not more important) than looks so finding and maintaining my signature scent (for yourself and your home) has always been a priority!
Speaking of looks, I have recently started to get my home ready to go on the market and that makes me really nervous!! I started last summer when I got some minor things fixed around the house and did a major purge of every drawer, closet, nook and cranny. It felt so good to get rid of all the excess and I am seriously considering attempting to be a minimalist, at least in some aspects of my life. I think I could do it!!
Since then I have been doing a little rearranging of furniture, purchasing a few new things and redecorating. I know most people think it’s silly to purchase new things and redecorate before you put your home on the market but I am purchasing things I have been meaning to purchase for years (the chair and ottoman that match my couch, the dresser and nightstand that actually match my bed, etc.) and when I say redecorating I really mean staging. I want my home to appeal to others as much as it does to me so that it will sell quickly!
One of the things I have done is depersonalize my living room by taking out all the personal photos and sentimental items. I also purchased new throw pillows for my couch and even found the perfect canvases for over the couch (that I found on clearance!!!). I think these few changes have totally changed up the feel of the room!!
And yes, I am working on staging my home but that doesn’t mean I can’t decorate for the season? Right? I know the holidays are over but my favorite time of year is sort of here…spring! I redecorated the bookshelf in my living room and even changed the books out to fit the theme…no more Wicked and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I swapped those out for my favorite Candace Bushnell and Jennifer Weiner books, definitely more bright and colorful and girly than the others.
And I even included one of my favorite home fragrances…
…the Glade® Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Fragrance Mist No. 2 Bright™ scent. Over the years I have honed in on what smells I like best on my person and in my home and my favorite scents are florals and fruits with a little spice/kick. Scent is very personal and I have noticed that when choosing a new perfume for myself or a fragrance for my home that these are the the types of scents scents I have always gravitated towards. No. 2 Bright™ scent smells like ripe raspberries and orchard fruit notes mingle with jasmine, rose and sweet pea over a pillowy bed of powder musk, sweet tonka bean and sheer blonde woods scents. It’s a little fruity, a little floral, a kick of spice and all me. I love it!!
I also have the Glade® Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Fragrance Mist No. 1 Enraptured™ scent. It smells like elegant notes of jasmine and rose that are given a modern twist with scents of pink lady apple and honeysuckle. A hint of honey lends a sweet surprise over a backdrop of cedar wood and spicy clove bud notes. Doesn’t that just sound divine?? You should smell it!!
Glade® Atmosphere Collection™ Fine Fragrance Mist products are light premium fragrances infused with essential oils. So not only are these product beautiful and smell amazing but they are affordable as well!!
If you are still searching for your home’s signature scent then I highly suggest you check out the full collection today at your local Walmart. Along with the two I am obsessed with there is also No. 3 Free™ fragrance which features notes of white pineapple, citrus and beachside florals swirl through layers of coconut, beach woods and vanilla bean scents. And No. 4 Tempted™ fragrance, which has hints of warm, exotic spices are kissed with freesia and golden amber. Vanilla orchid notes deepen the captivating blend along with scents of fresh eucalyptus, cedarwood, patchouli and brown sugar.
Does your home have a signature scent??

I burn candles to freshen up the house and odors, but these glade scents look just as good or better. Love those canvases they really give the room a good look.

I bet they smell very nice. I like flowery scents, but they have to be light and natural, or I get an almost instant headache.

I didn’t know that there was a mist out now, I’ve only tried the sprays. I don’t have a signature scent, I have to smell one before I will try it. I like fruity scents, and sweets ones, but tend to not care for floral.

I like lavender as a signature scent. Anything is better than a musty litter box smell or trash that needs to be taken out!

All my hair products and body lotions also pass through the sniff test but only because I am to most smells lol. I will have to go out and sniff these two glade fragrances but I think the Jasmine and Cedarwood will win.
