Friday Five No. 49

This post contains affiliate links.

Well hey there Friday, it’s so good to see you! I actually worked a lot this week (at my “real” job) and started blogging again so this has been a busy week for me. I am so glad I’m off work tonight so I can have some time to just relax and not do anything. Now that’s my kind of wild Friday night fun! HA!

If you are new around these parts then you should know that I usually reserve Fridays for my “Friday Five” posts. Basically I just make a list of five random things and I talk about them and so far they have been some of my favorite posts to write!! Some weeks there is a theme…five movies I want to watch, five beauty things I’m obsessed with, five Christmas traditions, etc….but most weeks are just random and I am totally fine with that!! Today is no exception and is completely random. That being said, let’s get to it!!

ONE. I am so excited about today because I have an appointment this morning to get my lashes lifted/tinted and get my face dermaplaned!!!! I have been wanting to do both for a while and was super pumped when I finally found a reputable place that didn’t completely blow my budget. Hopefully I will get some good pics of the process and I will write a full blog post about the experience on Monday!

TWO. I have professed my love for DryBar products for the past couple of years and upped my obsession even more when I purchased the curling wand last fall. I had never used a wand before and it had a bit of a learning curve to it but once I got the hang of it it’s pretty much all I use to do my hair with now!

I was at Ulta the other day and was grabbing my favorite DryBar hairspray when I saw this new volumizing root lifter. You know I had to grab it and I can honestly say that I LOVE IT!!! It actually gave really good volume without leaving your hair stiff or crunchy. I highly suggest it if you have been looking for a good root lifter!!

THREE. I recently did a major closet overhaul and tried on every article of clothing that I own. Losing weight is all fun and games until you literally don’t have any pants to wear. Ugh. So I updated my Poshmark Closet and if you are looking for some cute plus sized clothing (jeans, shirts, cardis, tank tops, swimsuits, etc.) it’s all there!!

FOUR. Last weekend I started reading what will probably be one of my favorite books of 2018, Shonda Rhimes “Year of YES”. A co-worker recommended it to me and I couldn’t put it down!! I’m about halfway finished with it now and it is seriously the BEST. I find myself nodding my head and thinking to myself “yep, that’s so ME” to pretty much everything in the book. Maybe when Im finished I will have my own Year of YES??

FIVE. Last but certainly not least, I have to share with you what has quickly become one of my most favorite purchases of late. Are you ready for this? Shout Advanced Set-In Stain Scrubber!! Never would I think that I would blog about stain remover but y’all this stuff id LEGIT. I am the world’s worst about staining my shirts, especially oily stains (thank you, movie theater popcorn that I love when it’s dripping with butter) and this is the only thing I have found that actually gets the stain out! Even when it’s already been washed and dried!! What what?? So if you are super messy like me then try this before you throw a shirt out!!

So there you have it, my Friday Five!!

Do you have any wild weekend plans??

I need to try the Drybar Root Lifter and I’ve always loved Shout products. I remember the commercials telling us to Shout it Out! It really works!

My daughter loves the dry root products. I use shout products all the time for getting out stains. When you find a product that works you stick with it.

I remember after I lost a good amount of weight having no clothes to wear. I could stand to clean out my closet now, it’s been ages since I went through it.

I like everything you share it but the shout is my absolute favorite. I keep that in my laundry room and I carry a little container with me in my car for stains.

I love the idea of a Friday five! I most definitely need to check out the year of yes – it sounds like a book I could really enjoy and get stuck into!

Yes of Yes looks like a really good read. I didn’t know that Shonda Rhimes had a book. It’s nice that you are losing weight and I guess having to replace all the clothes is somehow a good problem because you are reducing in size.

Oil stain is my worse enemy too when in the kitchen, I don’t like wearing apron when I cook. I use Shout as well.

I don’t know how anyone has time to work and blog. Blogging is so time-consuming lol. I need that root lifter asap. I’ve been noticing my hair is laying flatter and flatter.

My best friend read The Year of Yes and wrote her comments about different parts of the book in the margins and then sent it to me to read, one of the best Christmas presents I’ve ever received!
