Lean, Green & Clean in 2018 – Babbleboxx Style!

Last week I blogged about my word of the year for 2018, fierce, and part of being fierce (for me) is cleaning up the way I take care of my body so I can be the fiercest me I can be. One of my co-workers said something the other day that really got me thinking. She said that as women, when we start entering our late 30’s and early 40’s our bodies start paying for what we did in our 20’s and early 30’s. Now I know everything I have put into my body in the past hasn’t been the best but I am really working on doing better. I started in the middle of last year, kind of fell off track during the holidays but now I’m back at it and luckily I got this fabulous Lean, Green, Clean Babbleboxx to help me get back on track!

For those who have never heard of Babbleboxx before, Babbleboxx is a company that creates themed boxes for social promotion. I have worked with them in the past but I was super excited to get chosen for this campaign, it has several products I have been wanting to try!! So before I go any further with this post can I just shout out a huge THANK YOU to Babbleboxx!!!

So let’s see what was in the box…

I haven’t posted about it on social media very much but right before Thanksgiving I was in a car accident. I was rear ended hard and had a pretty severe whiplash injury. Since then I have been to the chiropractor several times and have recently cut down the amount of times I go a week. A few things that have helped me at home have been ice packs, OTC pain killers and (most recently) this Waterpik: PowerPulse Massage Shower Head + YAT 963 Chrome PowerSpray + Hand Held Shower Head. It installs in minutes and was easy enough that I could do it myself! It has 9 spray settings and there are several that feel amazing on the back of my neck for an in shower massage with some HOT water!! I know heat isn’t the best for sore muscles but man it feels good!! PS – don’t tell my chiropractor, he thinks I am only icing it. HA!

The next thing I got in my Babbleboxx was this CW Hemp Infused Oil, Cream and Balm. I have actually been researching hemp oils and products so this was perfect timing! One common misconception about hemp oil is that it’s the same thing as cannabis oil. Well, I hate to break it to you but it’s not. Hemp oil is not psychoactive, you don’t need a medical marijuana card to get it and it contains less than 0.3% THC. So what, exactly, does Hemp Oil do? Good question! The Hemp Extract used in Charlotte’s Web Hemp Oil, Cream and Balm is rich in phytocannabinoids and can be used to help support calm and focus, and recovery from exercise-induced inflammation. I have used the Hemp Infused Body Cream on the back of my neck in between trips to the chiropractor and on my hands after a long night at work and they feel soooo much better. I don’t know if it’s the weather or the super harsh hospital soap I use at work but my hands are a duper dry mess right now and I can definitely tell a difference after using this Hemp Infused Cream.

I also receieved the Hemp Infused Balm, which is fantastic on both my lips and elbows, and the Mint Chocolate Everyday Plus Hemp Oil. I haven’t tried the oil yet, I have been wanting to try it in my morning coffee. I bet that mint chocolate flavor would taste amazing, it smells wonderful! Next up is the Casio: G-Shock S Series Step Tracker (GMAS 130) in pink. I am such a girly girl and I may or may not have squealed when I saw the pink color of the step tracker, HA! I have used other fitness trackers in the past but I feel like some of them do too much. I like that this one has one purpose and that is to count your steps. I also like that this tracker is water resistant up to 200M and is shock resistant. I have to admit that I have only used this watch once since getting it, thank you Christmas holiday and crappy weather for making lazy but I can’t wait to get back to the gym and put this baby to work!

Another great product I got to try is this The Synergy Company: Organic Matcha Powder. I feel like Matcha Powder has been around for a while now and some popular chains have used it in drink recipes but I have actually never tried it before now! This particular matcha powder is one of the healthiest superfoods with more than 10x the amount antioxidants than regular teas and helps support energy, focus and lifelong vitality.

Babbleboxx sent me two kinds of Matcha Powder, the actual powder itself and caplets. The powder can be mixed into cold or hot water, or blended into smoothies. The caplets can be taken any time of the day.

One thing I was most excited to try from this box was the Primal Life Organics: All Natural Peppermint Toothpowder and Charcoal Ion Toothbrush. Ever since I started using a natural deodorant I have been researching natural toothpastes/powders and haven’t found one I have wanted to purchase yet so I was super pumped to pull these out of the box! I have heard really good things about the whole Primal Organics line and couldn’t wait to try my new toothbrush and powder!

First things first, it felt weird to use but I think that is pretty common with most all-natural products. The toothpowder isn’t sweet like traditional toothpaste and I didn’t even realize how my usual toothpaste was until I used this one! The toothbrush is also a good different because it is made with bamboo bristles and it’s black because it’s charcoal infused help brush away toxins and plaque. I haven’t noticed a huge difference in whitening yet but then I’ve only used it a few times. I can’t wait to see if anything changes over time!
