Farm Rich Snacks – The Real MVP of Football Parties + Game Day Meatballs {recipe}

I can’t believe the end of college is almost here! On the plus side that means BOWL GAMES are right around the corner!! Did your team make a bowl game this year? My Razorbacks did not (Confession – I didn’t watch a single Razorback football game this year because they were so terrible. Yikes!) but my Texas Tech Red Raiders did!! WOOHOO!!

I got to go to one game this year and they played a phenomenal game!! I wish I could go to the Birmingham Bowl and see the Red Raiders crush the University of South Florida Bulls but the game is in Birmingham Alabama on December 23rd and while I am off work that day my family’s big Christmas celebration in December 24 and I just can’t see making it to Birmingham and back and still making it to my family’s Christmas. Ugh.

Fortunately for me I can watch the big game from the comfort of my own living room with my sweet puppy girl and some of my best friends!! I can’t wait to make some fun snacks and then watch the big game. I personally think  Homegating can be just as fun as tailgating plus you can do it in your pjs!!

Two of my go-to game day snacks are my famous Game Day Meatballs (made with Farm Rich’s Homestyle Meatballs) and Farm Rich’s Mozzarella Sticks with marinara sauce! YUM!!

My Game Day Meatballs recipe is actually pretty simple. You just mix up some chili sauce, grape jelly and Dr Pepper (Did you know tha Dr Pepper is the oldest major soft drink in America??) and then throw it in the crock pot with some frozen meatballs and in a couple of hours it’s done! It’s really that easy y’all! The full recipe is at the bottom of this post if you want it!!

Anda s for the Mozzarella Sticks you can either bake them or fry them (I usually deep fry mine to get them good and crispy) and ether serve them plain or with sauce. I am a saucy girl myself so I always pick up some marinara sauce to serve mine with. I have’t found a go-to marinara sauce yet so I may have to make my own one day. LOL!!

Available at grocery stores across the U.S., Farm Rich products offer quick solutions for snacks, appetizers and meals that families can feel good about serving. They range from America’s favorite Mozzarella Sticks to a lineup of Meatballs. Today’s busy families have enough to deal with trying to get through the day, so Farm Rich helps make snack and mealtime easier and more fun!

Did your favorite college football team make a bowl game??
What is your favorite football team to cheer for??
Do you have any go-to game day snacks??
Have you tried any Farm Rich products??

Cuisine American
Servings
Ingredients
  • 28 oz bag of meatballs
  • 12 oz chili sauce
  • 10 oz grape jelly
  • 7.5 oz Dr. Pepper
Instructions
  1. In a medium sized mixing bowl stir together 12oz cili sauce, 10oz grape jelly (or about 1/2 of the squeeze bottle, it doesn't have to be exactly half) and 7.5 oz Dr. Pepper (I use some of the Dr. Pepper to swish around inside the chili sauce bottle to make sure it all comes out).
  2. Pour 1/2 of the sauce into the bottom of a crockpot.
  3. Add the entire bag of frozen meatballs on top of the sauce and then pour the remaining sauce on top.
  4. Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3, stirring occasionally.
  5. Enjoy!

We take Farm Rich foods to an annual Super Bowl party every year. They’re really a great quality snack food. Will have to make those Game Day Meatballs!

I love Farm Rich products. Their mozzarella sticks are one of my favorites. I haven’t tried the meatballs yet though. I always have meatballs on New Years Eve, so I’ll make sure to pick some up then.

I love getting the precooked meatballs. We use them to make spaghetti and meatballs. The Dr Pepper meatballs sound delicious too. I am going to have to give them a try.

I love meatballs, I’ve never tried cooking them with soda. I do that with other meats so why not.

I don’t have a college team but I am a New York Giants fan. They aren’t doing so well either.
