Recent Beauty Buys

This post contains affiliate links.

I feel like I have been on a beauty buying spree lately…HA! I guess that’s just how it is sometimes…or at least how it feels to me. I feel like there are times when all I do is spend money and then times where all I do is save money. Right now I feel like I have been on a spending spree for the past couple of weeks because I just bought a few new pieces of furniture for my house, went to Dallas last weekend and did major damage at Nordstrom (and other places), started my Christmas shopping and have just been online shopping waaaaay too much. I have decided that after I finish my Christmas shopping this year I am putting myself on a spending freeze! I also need to learn how to say no…I am sooo bad about that!

But until then I have a little pile of beauty products that I bought while I was in Dallas and I wanted to share them with you. I have all been saving all of my “empties” lately so expect a post on that soon. I have some great products for both posts so here we go with my recent beauty buys…

First up are a few things I picked up at Nordstrom. I have been wanting to try this Moroccanoil Treatment for forever! I know I’m probably the last person on the planet to try it but I’m glad I finally got it! I got the 0.85oz size, it was cheaper than the giant bottle and I won’t feel too bad if I hate it. I also grabbed the ever-so-coveted (by me at least) Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I have wanted this moisturizer ever since I tried a sample of it last summer and I finally caved and splurged on it. Yes, it is expensive but yes, it really is that good.

While we were in the mall we also stopped by Lush and I picked up this face mask. I have had a lot of people asking me to do a “face mask face off” with it so I was excited to grab it and I can’t wait to see what it does for my skin!!

Next up I grabbed these must haves from DryBar when I got my blowout. The Triple Sec is one of the BEST dry texture sprays out there and The Sheriff Hairspray has just the right amount of hold for a wavy ‘do!

In my Dallas blog post I mentioned we stopped by the Glossier pop up shop and these are the products I grabbed from there! I am skincare obsessed so I don’t think it’s any surprise that I got the Milky Jelly Cleanser and the Super Bounce Serum. I have been super serum obsessed also and I can’t wait to try this one with hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5!!

And last, but certainly not least, I grabbed this highlighter from Ulta. I love following celebs on Instagram and seeing what beauty products they post about the most and Cameron from Southern Charm posted about this super cheap highlighter/illuminator and so I knew I had to grab it for myself! I finally remembered the other day and I’m so glad I got it! It was under $8!!

So that’s it for my beauty buys…I know, I know, it’s a LOT but on the plus side I shouldn’t have to buy anything new for a very long time. I went through my beauty stash and cleaned it out before this trip. I had a lot of old products that were well past their throwaway dates and so now I feel “replenished”. HA! whatever makes me feel better about those purchases, right??

What beauty products have you purchased recently??
Have you tried any of the products on my recently purchased list??

I recently tried a few products from Bye Bye Cosmetics. I’m loving the concealer. My daughter is a Lush fanatic so I know I’ll be getting her a few things for her stocking.

I am obsessed with Moroccan oil. I use it in my hair all the time. I flat iron A LOT and it keeps my hair from burning :)

LUSH is definitely one of my favorites. I wish we had a store nearby. Like you I usually end up sticking up on my fave LUSH products when I visit Dallas or Memphis.

The Moroccanoil Treatment will probably yield some noticeable results fairly quickly. The oils seem to work wonders.

I haven’t tried any of these products. The Lush Mask of Magnaminty sounds like it’s got a nice texture and scent.

I haven’t tried any of these products. The argan oil sounds like a great hair treatment. My hair is a little crispy from the summer and using too many styling tools, so I’d love to try that.

Some of these products are new to me and I would want to give them a try. The face and body mask looks like a “must” for a day of pampering. However, I will definitely get that Moroccan oil treatment. During the cold months, my hair seems like it has a mind of its own.

Great purchases! Wondering if drybar products all smell the same? I recently picked up the dry shampoo and cannot stand the chemical smell! It lasts all day and won’t go away! Works well though, haha.
