I know I talk about skincare a lot and I am totally ok with that. I find that I have found most of my “holy grail” skincare products from other bloggers and any time I am thinking about purchasing any new products I always look online for reviews to see what others have to say about them. So for me, talking about skincare products I am loving and use frequently/believe in is a win/win for both me and you! I get to talk about something I am passionate about and you get to find a new product!! And today, we are going to talk about my favorite skincare products for adult acne…gross, I know!!
I know I have been waiting for fall for what seems to be forever now but I can tell the weather is actually changing (or getting ready to) because I have been experiencing some mild breaking out lately. YUCK! Something about the seasons changing always sends my skin into a tailspin. I feel like I just got my skincare routine really down and then I started breaking out realized I was completely out of my go-to acne skincare products. Of course, right? Ugh.
Normally my skin is pretty “normal”. It is oily in my t-zone but normal other than that. I tan really well, only have a few fine lines (I call that a win at 34) and in some places my skin tone is uneven. I say all this to tell you about my skin so if this sounds like you then maybe these products will work for you too!!
A couple of years ago I discovered the Clinique Acne Solutions Clear Skin System. I know, you are probably thinking, Clinique? For acne products? But my answer is YES!! Clinique has an amazing line of products specifically for people who have acne and it is literally the best system I have found that actually works quickly and makes my skin feel good!!
The first time I purchased Clinique’s full system I used all the products according to the labels….washed the makeup off my face, used the Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam, used the Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion and then used the Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer. I used it for two days, just once a day each day, and by the end of the second day I looked and felt like I had the worst sunburn of my life. I felt like I had gotten either the worst sunburn of my life just on my face or like I had just gotten a serious peel done at a spa. Whatever the reason I’m pretty sure a layer of skin came off and my skin was the clearest it has ever been.
I’m not going to lie, those products scared me for a little while after that but since then I have quit using the moisturizer and only use the Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam followed by the Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion and then my normal, everyday moisturizer and my skin is like a dream!! No sunburn, no dryness, only clear skin! I honestly think that the combination of all three products was just way too much for my skin and so by switching out the moisturizer for my regular one I saved my skin.
The active ingredient in Clinique’s Acne Solutions line are Salicylic Acid and Acetyl Glucosamine which both help clear dead skin cells and prevent the build up of oil that can lead to breakouts.

I have to get some of this for the kids! I use Clinique products all the time for my skin, and I love them. I think my kids will love these, too.
Wow, your skin really is STUNNING!!!!!! I am beginning to believe that the EXPENSIVE skin cleansers and what not are actually garbage and that I should stick with cleansers that have been around for EONS in drug stores – I mean, if they’ve been around for so long, they should work – RIGHT?! ha!
For some reason the last couple of months I have been breaking out like a teenager. I have been trying a whole bunch of different things and none of them seem to be working. I will definitely try this one.
I’ve just started getting acne from always being hot and sweaty here in Central America. If it doesn’t fix itself once I’m back in the States I’m going to give this a try.
My mom has used Clinique products for well over twenty years, but I love seeing that someone in my age group is having success with the line too. I certainly suffer from my fair share of breakouts and will be looking into this system.

Clinique has been around for so long! I remember when I was little and my older sister used their facial soap! I was so captivated by how long it was! This brand is definitely a great brand. I also have combination skin, so this is great to know :)
I get breakouts from time to time and I’m still on the lookout for a good fix for that. I think this might be it! Clinique has always been a reliable brand and I just love their products.
I have used Clinique since I was a teenager, I have loved the product for years. I have combination skin and had acne when I was a teenager. That was tough on me.

I never knew that Clinique offered suhc a great acne system. I will definitely look into this product, because my skin can definitely be problematic at times.

I used Clinique back when I was a teenager. I use something different now, but it is a great brand.

I’ll have to try this since I still suffer from acne in my 30s! I have been using a cheap dial product that’s helping a ton, but the more help i can get, the better!
