It’s Friday and you know what that means…it’s time for the FRIDAY FIVE!!! If you are new to these parts then you should know that I reserve Fridays to talk about five random things and today’s five is no exception. Completely random but completely blog worthy. Let’s get to it!
ONE. I have been spending a lot of time outdoors lately and I love it!! One of the whole reasons I bought this house was because I love my tiny little covered porch. It’s super hot outside right now but I drag a fan outside, grab an ice cold beverage, prop my feet up and watch my Sophie girl run! I swear that dog would be an outside dog if I let her…LOL!!

TWO. As much as I am seriously loving summer this year I am almost ready for fall??? Now that I haven gotten most of my items from the sale I am ready to wear them like yesterday but it’s too damn hot outside to dress in sweaters and booties…HA!!
THREE. Why is it that when you watch home design shows the people on the shows always decorate the master bedrooms last? I always thought that was weird until I started getting my house ready to sell and then I realized I have done absolutely nothing to my own master bedroom! OOPS!! So I found some adorable throw pillows on clearance to spiff up my bed and now I am searching for a few other things to make it look homey. HA!! Maybe if I get it done soon I will do a whole room post!! Kind of like I did for my guest bedroom earlier this week!! I’m still pretty dang proud of that room!!

FOUR. I went to see The Little Mermaid the other night in Memphis by myself and I had so much fun!! I love musical theater and I can’t wait to share my day with you!!
FIVE. This one is for all you beauty lovers, like myself!! Sounds like you are having a lovely summer! I live in NY, so I’ll take all the hot weather I can get! I feel like winter comes way too fast.
I hear you about the Master Bedroom.. I think I focus most on what other people see, and I can skimp on my bedroom because I know other people won’t see it. But I should make it more of my own little oasis.
I am not an IT cosmetics obsessed, I rarely put anything on my face but that is a great deal! :) I can’t wait to rest and sleep longer this weekend!
I cannot wait for FALL! We have a family tradition of making fresh apple cider at my brother and sister’s house. We all get together, cut apples, run them through a meat grinder, and press the juice out of the pulp into buckets, then transfer the strained juice into jugs. Fall is also when my wife and I take our grand kids to the pumpkin farm, and their parents come along with us! I think I have more fun than they do! I will write a post when we do that trip!
I can’t wait for fall! I just pulled out some of my fall sweaters the other day. I’m ready for boots and long pants so I don’t have to shave my legs every day! Lol

Fall is definitely my fave season. After the heat of summer, I’m looking forward to some cooler weather. And I Love IT cosmetics too!
Your back porch looks cozy. It is too hot here at the moment to sit on our porch even with a fan. It is perfect in the spring. It was one of my favorite hang out spots.
We have been spending plenty of time outside this summer too. The pool has been a great way to cool off while burning a few calories.
Love your little covered porch. I’d stay there too all summer, if I was there. Nothing much happening this weekend. We’re all still recovering from jet lag so this weekend is going to be a lazy one.
Funny how the master bedroom always seems to come last. Our place is the same way, we’ve redone everything BUT our room.

You seem like you are having a great summer. I am so weird, like I wait 3 quarters of the year waiting for the summer and when it is finally here, I can’t stand the heat. Anyway, the kids enjoy summer and that is what is important for me. If they are happy, I am happier. Oh, BTW, I will let my daughter know about those IT Cosmetics. I am sure she will love them.
Haha…. I’ve bought lots of fall items on sale at Nordstrom recently too. And I’m so ready to make use of all of my new cute finds!

I never noticed the one about the design shows, until now! What a realization! LOL. Maybe they just want to decorate it last because it’s the most important room for homeowners? I’m just guessing. Totally can’t wait for Fall but I’m also in shock at how time flies!
