Yesterday I talked about my favorite summer hair essentials so I thought it was only fair today to talk about my favorite summer skincare essentials!! Hair and skincare are definitely two of my favorite things to talk about here on the blog and I find it easier to talk about things I am passionate about so hair and skincare it is! HA!
The amazingly generous people over at IT Cosmetics sent me this fabulous box of goodies and it had one of my “ride or die” products in it and a few that I have’t tried yet. To say I was over the moon excited is an understatement. So THANK YOU IT Cosmetics for always looking out for me!!
Before I really dive into this post you should know that everything I am going to be talking about in today’s post (as well as a ton more products) are on sale right now over at QVC. First things first. You can’t talk about IT Cosmetics without talking about the holy grail of under eye concealers, Bye Bye Under Eye. Bye Bye Under Eye is the first product I ever tired from IT Cosmetics and it hooked me and I now I won’t use anything else. I use the “light” color in both the original formula and the new Illuminizing formula. I am actually pretty tan right now but I still use the light color because it really brightens up my under eye area and still blends well. If you use the light color I beg you to blend it in really good or else you will look like an extra from Jersey Shore. Trust me on this one.
Why do I love Bye Bye Under Eye so much? It’s simple. Bye Bye Under Eye is a full coverage, anti-aging, waterproof, crease-proof, basically life proof concealer. I can get 12+ hours of coverage with just a tiny amount and it contains collagen and vitamins C & K which all help diffuse the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Or ruffles. Apparently that’s what I called wrinkles when I was a kid. HA!
Both formulas are fantastic so no matter which one you pick you can’t go wrong. Or be like me and get both! HA!
Next up is the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Lines Serum. I am not even afraid to confess to you that I only started using facial serums in the past year. I didn’t really know what they were and I thought I didn’t need them. Wrong and even more wrong. Ugh. Since educating myself on the importance of serums and keeping my skin hydrated I have been on the lookout for a good one! Fortunately for me this serum contains peptides, caviar extract, sea water, hydrolyzed collagen and algae. It also contains a blend of vitamins, licorice root, and IT’s Drops of Light Technology (IT Cosmetics signature technology). You can use it both in the morning and before bed (I tend to use mine more right before bed, I put it on right before my nighttime moisturizer) and it has been shown to effectively improve the appearance of fine lines and ruffles wrinkles and give you the look of having super smooth, brighter skin!
Basically what I’m telling your is that this is some amazing stuff. Try it and tell me what you think!!
So now that we have talked about the best under eye concealer and serum around let’s talk about IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup Cleansing Balm. I have tried a few other cleansing balms but this one is by far my favorite! Never used a cleansing blame before? That’s ok! Here’s what you should know…
Cleansing balms are formulated like coconut oil in that they are in a solid state but have a pretty low melting point. All that means is that as soon as you put you fingers in it it’s going to melt pretty fast. So all you have to do to use it is scoop a tiny bit out and massage it all over your face. It’s not a soap so it won’t clean you skin but you see how good it is at removing makeup!! Even my most stubborn mascara is gone in a matter of seconds with this stuff. And as a bonus it leaves your face feeling silky smooth to the touch.
And last but certainly not the least is IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Illumination. While this is not a skincare product it is definitely worth taking a look at! For years I have used anther brand of finishing powder that I loved!! The coverage is great and I always get an airbrushed finish but it’s a loose powder and is a nightmare to travel with. It is super fine and winds up all over my makeup bag and everything I own is coated in it. Talk about a waste of a product. UGH. So I was pumped to receive this pressed allover finishing powder to try.
I have to admit I was a little wary to try it because how could a pressed powder work as well as a loose as a finishing powder? Well I don’t know how they did it but it works like charm! I used the Heavenly Skin Bye Bye Pores Powder Brush that comes with the powder (it’s in the bottom of the compact) and I loved it. That was also the first time I’ve use a sponge to apply a finishing powder to my face and I was honestly surprised by how well it worked! So if you are just over getting your finishing powder all over the place then try this one! I bet you won’t even regret it!

I love IT cosmetics, but I’ve only ever used their makeup. I’m going to check out the skin care line! I could really use some of these products with my skin now that I’m getting older and starting to see fine lines. :(

IT Cosmetics are awesome! My summer skincare essential is a really good moisturizing lotion. There’s nothing worse than the sand, sun, and surf drying out your skin.
I actually use a baby lotion during the summer, it’s super hydrating and doesn’t irritate my skin! LOL!!
I have used a few of the items from the IT cosmetic line. My favorite is the mascara.
I haven’t tried their mascara yet!! Adding to my “list”, LOL!!
I’ve heard lots of great things about it cosmetics from YouTubers, but I’ve never actually tried any of their stuff out. That cleansing balm seems interesting, is a balm better than wipes or oil?
Personally I love balms and oils equally but am not a huge fan of wipes because I have to rub my face kind of hard with them to really get my makeup off, especially around my eyes (damn mascara) and the skin around your eyes is fragile anyway so you need to be super gentle around them. So long story short, balms and oils over wipes any day!!
I’ve never heard of the ByeBye line before, but it sounds like an amazing line of products. I could certainly use these concealers.

I have never heard of this one before but it sounds fantastic. I love the idea of being able to use a product like this to hide my imperfections.
I’ve been fortunate that wrinkles haven’t really appeared on my face yet but now that I’m over 40 sure they are coming. It is nice to age gracefully and looks like these products can help some folks with doing that.
I would try Bye Bye Under Eye just off the name. It totally makes me giggle. The Jersey Shore reference made me giggle as well.

I haven’t seen IT cosmetics until recently. I don’t wear a ton of makeup so I don’t pay attention to brand changes. I do need to add a serum soon.

I’ve heard a lot of things about IT cosmetics. I’n pretty sure that it would be great to my skin.
I turn 35 this month. I have been super diligent about taking care of my skin to keep away fine lines. However adult acne and pores could use a bit more thought. The pressed powder might be a good thing to try!
The heat of the sun or the chemicals at the pool can do a lot of harm to our hair so it is a must to have products that would protect it.
It’s not in South Africa yet but let’s hope it comes here soon, I would love to check it out!

I keep seeing those cleansing balms at the store, but it just seems so strange to me. Guess I’m a soap and water kind of girl. However, after reading I really want to give it a try. I currently use their makeup brushes, but might be making the switch to a few more of their products. That serum especially!
