Limelight by Alcone

This post contains affiliate links.

A couple weeks ago one my friends, Blakelea, sent me a bunch of Limelight by Alcone samples to try. I had heard of Limelight before but didn’t really know what it was. I mean, I knew it was a skincare and makeup company but let’s be real…I already own a ton of both skincare and makeup products and so I thought I didn’t need any more in my life. However after trying what she sent I may just be ordering a few new products to add to my collection…

First of all you should know that Limelight by Alcone isn’t just any old skincare and makeup company. Limelight products are all natural and don’t contain any harmful chemicals. Limelight products are also phthalate free, paraben free, chemical free and cruelty free.

Now I don’t know about you, but I am always skeptical of products that don’t contain chemicals. I know that sounds weird, but it’s true! Will they work as good? Will they last as long? What will it do to my skin??

Well I am happy to report that after using all of my samples I am in love with Limelight products!! Some I like more than others but that will be true with any skincare/makeup brand. So let’s get into what Blakelea sent me!

To start I should tell you that I have pretty normal skin. Not too oily, not too dry. I do get a little oily in my t-zone but not lately. So there’s that.

The first product that I used is the Dream Clean Aloe and Soapberry. I used this product at night to get the makeup off my face after a full day of work and hospital germs. I usually wash my face twice, once to get the makeup off and once to actually clean my face. I used this Dream Clean to get all the makeup off my face and I think it did a pretty good job.

Next, I used the Quench Cleanse Aloe and Sunflower to actually wash my face. I used this with my Clarisonic and really loved how clean my face felt after!

After my face was super clean I used the Skin Polish Lemon and Jojoba Beads. If you have known me for any length of time then you know that I am obsessed with lemon products, there is just something about the smell…ha! I am proud to say that this mask is no exception. It smelled amazing and I wanted to eat the thing. HA! With this mask you liberally apply it to your face and neck, rub it in for about a minute and then let it sit for 10-15 minutes to get the dull moisturizing benefits. Y’all. My face has never felt so soft before. For real!!!

Blakelea also sent me a sample of the Mask of Zen Clay and Tea Tree Oil that I haven’t tried yet, oops! But I bet it is just as amazing as the lemon!!

Even thought I didn’t feel like I needed it after my lemon mask I used Calm Balm Aloe and Kendi Oil. It’s a light moisturizer, which I love, and my face actually still felt super moisturized when I woke up the next morning! I call that a WIN.

If you need a heavier moisturizer Limelight offers Skin Therapist Pomegranate and Oat. My skin get super dry in the summer time so I think this would be perfect for then!!

One of the most interesting products Blakelea sent me was the Sotoks Songyi Mushroom Face Serum. I have really gotten into serums lately, hello scary 34th birthday, and this one intrigued me because it  uses natural-based ingredients to eliminate dark spots, lift sagging skin, and smooth fine wrinkles. Y’all. I can see fin elides around my eyes. I am too young for all of that!! So I have been using my sample at night time right around my eyes in hopes to combat any further damage. HA! But really though.

I also received samples of Forty Cure Creme Body Cream and Lavender and Creme of the Crop Hand and Body Cream. I don’t even know why by my skin has been so dry lately and so my legs literally soaked both of these bad boys up. I hate winter skin. Ugh.

So if you are on the market for a natural skincare line then I highly suggest you check out Limelight by Alcone, my girl Blakelea can hook you up!!

Have you tried Limelight by Alcone??

This is the first time I have heard about this brand. It really raised my interest in this new skincare product line. I would love to try that Quench Cleanse Aloe and Sunflower. Although I don’t usually wear make up, it is a must for me to clean my face really well before I go to bed. I don’t want dust and pollution to get in my skin and clog my pores!

I really do not have a skin care routine. Alcone’s natural products sound like they would fit my health routine. I will have to investigate them a little further.

You had me at all natural! I am drawn to more natural things because I feel like putting a ton of chemicals on my face is counterproductive.
