Happy February!! Best month ever, in my opinion!! February is the month of love and also my birthday month!! I am turning a ripe old 34 this month and am surprisingly not really freaked out about it. Yet. I’m sure that will come, HA!
Today is Wednesday and you know what that means…it’s time for Talk Bloggy to Me!! I am really loving this series so far and am having fun writing it and coming up for ideas for each post. So far we have talked about how I got started blogging and scheduling apps. Today I thought we would tackle a fun topic that I have gotten quite a few questions about…photo editing apps! I have talked about using my iPhone for my blog photography before and that is still true today. Most days I whip out my fancy camera and take pics but sometimes I am just on the fly and take pics with my phone, especially for Instagram pics. I know some people take pics with their fancy cameras, edit them online, and then email to their phone and upload them to IG but that its just too much work!! I am more of a “work smarter, not harder” type of gal and so these are the apps that help me work smarter!
First of all I have an iPhone 7Plus. I got the 7Plus because I love a big screen, HA! Now the camera on the new iPhones is pretty damn good. The camera on my phone is a 12MP and has a 1.8 aperture which is better than most traditional cameras these days! That’s so crazy to me. Ok, so lets get into photo editing apps!!
Snapseed. Snapseed is a free Google app that allows you to enhance your photos with filters and other editing tools. I really only use this app to brighten my pics but there is so much more you can do with it. one big plus with the Snapseed app is that it works in both regular and landscape modes which most other photo editing apps don’t do. Apparently you can also download Snapseed to your computer and edit your camera photos with it too. Here is an example of how I brightened an image with Snapseed..
WordSwag. WordSwag is a paid app that allows you to add all kinds of cool fonts to your photos. WordSwag also has cute pics that you can add font to or you can upload a pic from your phone’s library. It’s my go-to these days when I am creating cute quotes or adding font to any pic I upload to Instagram. Here is an example of an image I added a fun font to…
Rhonna. Rhonna is another fun app you can add cute fonts to but you can also choose from really cute backgrounds or upload your own photos. You can also fun preset quotes and designs and customize the colors to suit you. Rhonna used to be my go-to before I got WordSwag but I still use it some things. It’s always good t have options!
A Beautiful Mess. Speaking of options, A Beautiful Mess is another great app for adding fonts to photos. Except I don’t really this one for fonts, I use it for borders and adding bling to my photos! ABM has really fun “doodles” you can layer on top of your photos and customize the colors. It’s a cute way to make your photos stand out.
Pic Collage. I love a good photo collage as much as the next person and a lot of apps are offering collage options as part of their features but I prefer Pic Collage. I did upgrade to the paid version, I think it was $1.99, so they wouldn’t all be marked PIC COLLAGE. I love all of the different grids and templates and I also love that you can freestyle and layer your pics without a preset template. You can also choose the background color or pattern and even choose themes for your photos. I love it!
So those are my top 5 photo editing apps and I hope you found a new one to try!!
Do you take a lot of photos on your phone??
What your favorite photo editing apps??

Hey Ricci
Really Amazing post you have written here.
For me, I think snapseed and VSCO are the best apps. I have used Adobe photoshop express and Lightroom CC both were okay.
What do you think of Facetune app?
I have also written a similar article on my blog. Would love your feedback! :)
Keep up the good work
