This year is almost over!! EEEKS!! How did that even happen?? I realize this is about the millionth time I have said that but I really mean it!! I feel like this has been a big year for beauty products for me. I am one of those people who finds a product I love and I use it forever. I have literally used Bare Minerals foundation for 11 years ever since I saw it on an infomercial and ordered it over the phone. I am very brand loyal and so any time I try a new product and love it enough to buy it again is a big deal for me, HA! Change is scary y’all!!
So today I thought I would share with you 16 beauty products that I tried and am loving from 2016! I feel like I have a pretty good round up of makeup, skincare and hair care products in all price ranges. I am all about a good deal so most of my “expensive” beauty products I have either gotten from blogging or at a deeply discounted price. I am always on the lookout for a good deal and never shop without coupons or discount codes!! So, here we go…
IT Cosmetics Mineral Powder Brush #206 / OZ Naturals Mega Bright Eye Gel / Peter Roth Thomas Pumpkin Mask / IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil / Kate Somerville ExfoliKate /
Living Proof Dry Volume Blast / Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Wipes / Kiehl’s Magic Elixir / IT Cosmetics All Over Powder Brush #211 / Gold Bond Eczema Relief Cream / It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in Lite / IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye / TIGI Bead Head Oh Bee Hive! Matte Dry Shampoo / Garnier Sleeping Cream / The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask / Aveeno Positively Radiant Exfoliating Scrub
ONE. IT Cosmetics Mineral Powder Brush #206 I grabbed this brush back during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty Sale and I love it! I had always used Bare Minerals brushes but mine had been shedding like crazy and so I decided to replace them and this one was on sale for 50% off so I grabbed it! It is specifically for mineral foundations and it gives really good coverage.
TWO. OZ Naturals Mega Bright Eye Gel. I actually got this to review on my blog and liked it ok at first but the more I have used it the more I love it! I use it at night under my eyes and on my forehead. It leaves my skin feeling really tight! I love it!!
THREE. Peter Roth Thomas Pumpkin Mask. I got this free though blogging also and am obsessed with it! Not only does it smell like a pumpkin pie on my face (I am pumpkin obsessed) but it leaves my skin super clear without drying it out.
FOUR. IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil. I got this for free as a gift with purchase last year from Ulta and didn’t even open the box until a month or so ago and have been obsessed ever since. I love that it has a spooly on one end and that it doesn’t go on super pigmented so you can use as little or as much as you want and not mess it up. It’s a universal color for a reason, it can go on any color brows! I am a little bit IT Cosmetics obsessed lately…
FIVE. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate. I actually got a sample of this from Sephora and have since grabbed the full size bottle! This mask is an amazing exfoliator and please please please follow the directions and only leave it on for a few minutes. One time I left it on for 30 minutes and am pretty sure I took off a layer of skin when I scrubbed it off. Oops!!
SIX. Living Proof Dry Volume Blast. I love a good hair texturizer and grabbed this bad boy as soon as it came out. I love Living Proof products and this one is no exception. It texturizes without leaving your hair stiff or sticky. And the smell is out of this world!!
SEVEN. Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Wipes. I love a good makeup wipe but I feel like I have used them all and not found one I just loved, until this Aveeno one! It smells amazing and actually gets all of my eye makeup off with a swipe or two. I feel like with the other brands I have to scrub a lot and we all know that’s NOT GOOD for the under eye area!!
EIGHT. Kiehl’s Magic Elixir. Post Vegas trip my whole body just felt dry. My skin, my hair, everything!! I literally had the worst dandruff of my entire life and nothing I did helped it. Finally Christine from Simply Stine suggested this amazing elixir, I grabbed it, and it really helped!! Now I use it about once a month for maintenance!!
NINE. IT Cosmetics All Over Powder Brush #211. I love love love this big fluffy brush!!! I use this when I put on my Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. It’s a great all over powder face brush and just feels good when I use it.
TEN. Gold Bond Eczema Relief Cream. Not really a beauty product but I do use this eczema lotion every single day. Like I said earlier, after that Vegas trip last New Year’s my skin went into a tail spin and this has been the only lotion that has helped restore some of the moisture I lost! And it actually smells retry good! I never in a million yeas thought I would use Gold Bond and tell anyone. HA!
ELEVEN. It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in Lite. I used to use the regular It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product but then it started weighing my hair down and making it feel almost greasy so I switched to this lite version. It smells amazing, leaves my hair feeling super smooth and doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. I use this as an all over spray before I dry my hair. I use it from the ends up and use Living Proof’s Blowout Spray on my roots.
TWELVE. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye. If I had to name just one product that was my absolute fave from this year IT Cosmetic’s Bye Bye Undereye would win, hand’s down. This little bit of magic in a tube actually does what it says. It’s a full coverage under eye waterproof concealer. This is coming from someone who doesn’t like anything heavy on her face. You literally use a super tiny amount, slather it under our eyes and down the side of your nose, dab it in with a beauty blender and BOOM! You are set for all day. I use the light formula (the lightest color) and it is simply amazing. Seriously. I officially have a crush on IT Cosmetics.
THIRTEEN. TIGI Bead Head Oh Bee Hive! Matte Dry Shampoo. For those wondering, dry shampoo is actually quite different than a hair texturizer. I bought this Bed Head dry shampoo at the 21 Days of Hair Ulta sale. It was only $6!! So of course I grabbed like 4 bottles. It smells amazing and is clear so you brunettes can use it too!!! WIN!
FOURTEEN. Garnier Sleeping Cream. This is a recent love as I have been using a Body Shop night time moisturizer for some time now. This Garnier Sleeping Cream contains Essential Oils + Hyaluronic Acid and is super creamy and not too thick or thin. It also doesn’t have an overwhelming scent so I can sleep with it on. Love it!!
FIFTEEN. The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask. Speaking of The Body Shop I am obsessed with this mask!!! I got it for free from The Body Shop and even though I have tried a few other charcoal masks I always come back to this one. It really is good and makes my face feel super clean!!
SIXTEEN. Aveeno Positively Radiant Exfoliating Scrub. I always keep an exfoliating face scrub in the shower and this is my latest find! It’s super gentle and smells amaze!! It is truly a daily use exfoliator and I now that I love it and the wipes I feel like I need to try more of the Aveeno Positivly Radiant line. Hmmmmm…
So, those are my 16 must have beauty products from 2016…what are yours??
What is one beauty product you can’t live without??

Need to replace my make up brushes. Gold bond has always been great brand. Nice you didn’t stick to just one brand but gave us several.

I am right there with you on the pumpkin mask. I think that’s probably my favorite thing ever! I’m dying to try Exfolikate though!

I’m brand loyal as well, if I like it I go with it forever. I think that also makes me lazy. I need good makeup brushes. I’ve not found a winner yet.

I love Aveeno’s face washes, they’re so gentle and they smell so good too! I should really give that Gold Bond eczema lotion a try, my skin gets so bad in the winter!

I’m not much of a makeup person, but these products sound like they work great for you! On average, what is the price range for these products? I think I might try several of your suggestions.

I like how you share your own experience with these products. It’s getting harder and harder to do research on good products because often they are just being advertised by the company.
