If you know me at all then you know how much I love to go to the movies. I love going with my friends and I love going alone. A lot of people think it’s weird to go to the movies alone but I actually really love it. I love it so much I even wrote an entire blog post about it a few years ago…HA!
I saw Alice Through the Looking Glass last weekend with my girl Rebekah and saw a ton of great previews and realized then that I needed to make a list of my must see movies for summer 2016! This is definitely going to be a great summer for movies!!
ONE. Obviously number one on my list is Alice Through the Looking Glass. It’s already out and it’s really good. If you saw the first one then you should definitely go see this one too!
TWO. The Legend of Tarzan. Coming out July 1 this movie is a live action Tarzan starring Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood fans rejoice!!). I have loved all of the live action remakes so far and the trailer for this one is phenomenal so I can’t wait to see it!
THREE. Me Before You. This movie comes out on Friday and I am sad to say that I haven’t read the book yet!!! Ahhhhh!!! Starring Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Sam Claflin (Hunger Games) the previews literally bring me to tears. This one just may be the movie of Summer 2016.
FOUR. Pete’s Dragon. Yes this list is Disney live action heavy, no I am not ashamed nor do I care. I remember watching this movie and loving it when I was a kid and the previews are levi so I can’t wait!!
FIVE. The Nice Guys. It’s not summer unless there’s a Ryan Gosling movie out, am I right?? I really hope he takes his shirt off. Just keeping it real…
SIX. Neighbors 2. Zac Efron?? YAS!!! I loved Neighbors and can’t wait to see Neighbors 2!!
SEVEN. Popstar. One of my favorite sketches from SNL was the Lonely Island music videos. Now there is an entire movie dedicated to them??? YEEEESSSSSS!!!
EIGHT. Ghostbusters. I have to admit that I may be more excited about this movie than any other. When I was in Boston last summer this movie was being filmed and so I sort of feel like I have a special connection to it. Plus it has Melissa McCarthy!!
NINE. Finding Dory. Again with the Disney, I know. But Finding Dory is going to be amazing!! I have been waiting on this since Finding Nemo, HA!! But really though, I heard it was amazing!!!
TEN. Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Last but certainly not least is Anna Kendrick and Zac Efron!! What?? I remember seeing this on both of their Instagrams when it was being filmed and the trailer is seriously hilarious!! Can’t wait until July!!
So those are my top ten movies for Summer 2016!! I can’t wait!!

Some interesting choices on your list! Honestly, my big summer movie is Star Trek Beyond. Both my husband and I are huge Trekkies!
We are planning to watch the Alice Through the Looking Glass this week. Also, I’m excited about Finding Dory. I have been waiting for Dory’s story since she’s one of my fave in Finding Nemo. :)
Finding Dory looks like it’s going to be such a cute movie. I loved Finding Nemo when it came out.

I would definitely love to see Tarzan and ghostbusters! I watched ghost busters when I was….young! Just wondering if I would look at the movie the same way since I’m older?
These movies look really good. I’m not sure how high i am going to decide which ones I should see. Definitely finding Dori for sure.
These are all on my list! I love summer movies. It’s a great way to enjoy sir conditioning and relax after a long day at work.

All ten of these are on my list as well. There are so many good movies coming out this year. I’ve been inside a movie theater more times this year already than I have in the last few years!

Seems like I’ve already seen a few from your list. Saw Alice and love it and also saw Neighbors 2 (which wasn’t that great). I think you left out TMNT: Out of the Shadows. Saw it yesterday and LOVED it!!
I’ve been so behind on movies this year! I think I need to see at least a couple of these this summer. A movie is the perfect summer activity when the temps get up there!
