Quick Dallas Trip

This post contains affiliate links.

This past Monday I decided to take a quick trip to Dallas!! I had some things I needed to return to IKEA and I needed a quick “get out of town” trip post-graduation. It was a much needed break even if it was only for a night!

I stayed at the Aloft Frisco and it was perfect for just me! I had a huge king sized bed by myself and it was super cute and super close to both IKEA and the Stonebriar Center (where I love to shop).

Super cute? Right? And before anyone asks, no, I was not paid to say anything about the hotel, I just really loved it and when I find things I love I share them! So if you are a single lady traveling in Dallas and need a safe hotel that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg then stay here! I love Starwood properties, they are my fave!

So back to my trip…I left home Monday morning and got to Dallas around 1pm. My first stop was Drybar at NorthPark because hello, my hair needed some serious help!! I love DryBar, it’s tradition to go when I’m in Dallas now! HA!

After  getting my hair all pretty I shopped a little bit. You know I had to go to Nordstrom because as much as I love Arkansas we don’t have a Nordy’s!!! Booooooo.

nordstrom

I loved this trip to NorthPark because I got to walk around the whole first level and explore some stores I had never been in before. When I left NorthPark I headed across the street to The Shops at Park Lane. I went to Old navy and had to grab some pjs because I totally forgot mine…HAHAHA!!

After I was finished in that area I headed to Frisco to the Stonebrair Center. I love the Stonebriar Center almost as much as I love NorthPark! I had to return some shoes to Macy’s and I grabbed a bite to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. I have a rule about not eating at chain restaurants when I am out of town but that rule totally goes out the window when I see a Cheesecake Factory. Gah I love that place!!

That night when I was in my room I decided to have a beauty night!! I washed my face really good, exfoliated, slathered on a thick moisturizer, and then tried these new eye masks! These are VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask Customized Skin Care Reducing Dark Circles, Puffiness and Wrinkles Anti Aging and you wear them overnight while you sleep!

After sleeping in the eye masks overnight I can honestly say that my eyes did feel brighter and less puffy. WIN!! I slept more than the recommended eight hours in them and didn’t see a problem with them, that’s another thing I love about hotel beds, the ability to have the whole bed to myself and the ability to sleep in!! #PraiseHands

After I finally got up and going the next day I headed out to IKEA!! IKEA was the whole reason I went to Dallas in the first place and I think I actually spent more than I returned…oops!! HA!!! I love IKEA. Can we please start a petition to get one in Arkansas ASAP?!

After IKEA I ran by Trader Joe’s and then headed home. Like I said, it was a quick trip but way fun!!

Thank you VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask for the fun eye masks, I really did love them!!

Have you been to Dallas??
Where is your favorite place to take quick trip??

I am there quite often for business. I’ve eaten at that Cheesecake Factory a few times LOL! I also love to do beauty nights when I am in the hotel. Alofts are great properties and drybar is always a lifesaver!

Sounds like a great trip. Plus any trip with IKEA as a possibility is a good one.

When we relocated to MI, I didn’t realize how far is be from
IKEA. It’s almost 2 hours away! I’m going to need to take an overnight IKEA trip too.

Next time your in Dallas, you will have to let me know. :)

I do love all the malls and fun things to do in Dallas. I live just west of Fort Worth. I have only been to Ikea and stonebrier mall once. I wish I had an Ikea closer. I don’t go bc it is a ways over there. Plus, I try to avoid the toll roads.
