My Very First Birchbox!

This post contains affiliate links.

As usual, I am late to the game. What game you ask? The Birchbox game!! I have done a couple of other subscription boxes…GlossyBox (too expensive) and Ipsy (always felt like I got a “leftovers” bag)…but I have always been reluctant to try Birchbox for some reason.

birchbox

First of all can we just talk about how beautiful this packaging is? I loved opening it and seeing “you’re beautiful”. Way to make a great first impression Birchbox!!

I have to preface this post by saying that I am very brand loyal to certain products. I am very particular about what shampoo/conditioner, foundation, and eyeliner I use. I have been using the same products for those things for years and will probably not change anytime soon. Anything else I am game to try.

It seems like every GlossyBox or Ipsy bag I would get would always include an eyeliner, a bronzer, a bb cream, or something else I would just honestly never use. I got tired of wasting money on things I wouldn’t try so with Birchbox I tried to be as honest as I could with my profile and tell them the types of products I wanted to try. I can honestly say I was not disappointed at all with my first box!!

Here’s what I got…

firstbirchbox

Catherine Malandrino Style de Paris perfume / Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner / Malin+Goetz Grapefruit Cleanser / Supergoop Everyday Sunscreen / Malin+Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer / Number 4™ Lumiere dhiver Fluoro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil

Yes, this box did contain an eyeliner, but luckily for me it is one of my friends favorite so she gets a little bonus from Birchbox this month. HA! The Catherine Malandrino perfume smells amazing and I have been wanting to try a new sunscreen so those products will definitely get used. I actually have a couple Malin+Goetz products but have not tried either of these so I am super excited about them!!

Overall I am very pleased with my very first Birchbox and can’t wait to see what I get in the future. Just to clarify, this post was in no way sponsored by Birchbox, I paid for the subscription myself and I just wanted to share with you what I got. If you think you may want to try Birchbox you can use this link and help me get points so I can buy some of my fave products, LOL!!

Have you tried Birchbox before??
If you have what were your thoughts??
What other monthly subscription services have you tried??

I’ve given Birchbox as gifts on several occasions and the recipients were always over-the-moon about their new subscription. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

I have not subscribed to Birchbox yet. I have seen a lot of good reviews about it and I will give them a thorough look. It looks like it is worth the money.

I haven’t jumped on the subscription box band wagon yet, but I am definitely paying attention to all of the different ones out there. Thanks for sharing yours.

I have never tried birchbox. I’m not a fan of paying for boxes and getting sample sizes. I stick to the ones that come with full sizes, that said it looks like you got some interesting stuff.

I know the products are worth the amount but I’ve never been able to justify getting 3-5 beauty products a month, lol.

I usually don’t buy that many a month either but I think this is just a great way to try new things that maybe you wouldn’t normally try!
