Road Trip Recap Days 1-3

This post contains affiliate links.

Road trip recap is finally happening! WOOHOO!! This will take a few days and most posts will probably be a major photo overload so please bear with me.

Day One – I left work early, at 3pm, and drove halfway to Ohio and stayed the night in a weird LaQuinta Inn. Did you know that pets stay free at LaQuinta Inns?? Genius!! Someone took to hotel life like peanut butter to jelly…

hotellife

On my way to Ohio I drove through Arkansas (duh), Tennessee, Kentucky and finally Ohio. Halfway there Sophie decided to sit in the backseat rather than her carseat. Whatever makes her happy…

road trip

Sweet Sophie stayed with my grandparents and got spoiled rotten, or shall I say more rotten than she already is? HA!! I visited with them for a little while and then I went to my bestie/fellow road tripper/sorority sister’s house to stay the night so we could leave early the next morning!!

The next morning we got up at the crack of dawn, loaded the car down, and set off for our first stop!!

libric

We traveled through Ohio (duh), West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. I am a little bit obsessed with road signs, if you couldn’t tell already, so here you go…

day3signs

After driving all day and through all of those states, we finally reached our first stop on our epic road trip…

To be continued…

That looks like Monticello on your first stop. Am I right? I lived in Virginia for the majority of my life, but I never visited there. That’s sad, I know. Give me a shout when you get to North Carolina.
