I am finally finished with my Advocare 10 day cleanse!! Woohoo!!! {insert insanely excited face here}
I am going to admit that I honestly didn’t know if I could do it. Yes, it may only be 10 days but I have zero self discipline when it comes to food. I always say that I am going to go on a diet and will maybe last for a day or two and then I quit. I love fast food, carbs, and anything fried and it was really hard to stay away from those things for 10 whole days. That’s not to say that I didn’t cheat or slip up. I did go to the movies and I did get a popcorn smothered in butter and white cheddar shaker stuff. And it was glorious!! But for the most part I stayed with it and I am super proud of myself!!
For those who don’t know, the Advocare 10 day cleanse is a 10 day program, duh, where you eat many small, clean meals a day in addition to taking an herbal cleanse supplement, fiber drink, and Spark each day. Spark takes the place of any caffeine you would normally drink and the goal is to drink at least half your body weight in water a day. So it’s a lot of eating and drinking throughout the day and I stayed really full all day and didn’t have any weird cravings.
For the curious out there, and just so I can be really honest here, I ordered this stuff and had it in my hands for an entire month before working up the courage to actually do it. I kept using excuses and finally just did it one day. I am so glad I did!!
Here is what I have been eating on a typical day, keep in mind that I don’t mind eating the same thing for a few days if I really like it. Also- you aren’t supposed to eat any dairy during the cleanse but I ate some Greek yogurt dressing and I am totally ok with that. I just figure it’s better than eating Hidden Valley and that is just fine with me. Do what you want, right?
First thing when I get up- Spark and Probiotic.
Breakfast- either a meal replacement shake or toast with peanut butter and a banana and my herbal cleanse supplement.
Snack- Hard boiled eggs.
Lunch- Turkey burger with Greek Yogurt Ranch, green beans, half an avocado
Snack- Turkey sticks and almonds
Snack- Pack of tuna
Dinner- Grilled chicken and salsa and bell peppers.
In my 10 days on the cleanse I lost SEVEN pounds!! I also measured myself but forgot to remeasure this morning before going to work, OOPS, I will do that tomorrow morning. I am so proud of myself for sticking with this. So proud in fact, that I am actually turning my 10 day cleanse into the entire 24 day challenge starting today! About halfway through my cleanse I realized that it wasn’t really that bad and I wanted to see if I could do it for the whole 24 so I ordered the stuff! Who am I???

That is so awesome that you lost 7 lbs doing the cleanse! I’ve never tried it because I too love food lol. I may try it one of these days, but for now…where are the Oreos?

I keep hearing that cleanses are so good for you, but… I really like to eat. This presents a problem for me. I’m bookmarking this just in case I finally work up the nerve to do a cleanse.

I have not tried the cleanse, but I’m tempted to. I feel like it might just reset my system and my eating habits. I know you work some odd hours and are busy — did you have trouble fitting in all the meals and staying on schedule?
P.S. I love Spark. I currently have a canister of the pink lemonade flavor, but I also liked fruit punch. I haven’t tried many other flavors.

That’s great that you lost 7 pounds. I haven’t had much luck with cleanses, but what you’ve shown here – this plan doesn’t look too restrictive.

I did a 21 day cleanse last month for health reasons (not weight loss). I eat mostly clean all the time but loved the energy boost from eating really clean.
