McDonald’s Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwich

This post contains affiliate links.

I am a brand ambassador for Central Arkansas McDonalds. While I am being compensated for this post all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love chicken…always have, always will. In fact, when I was growing up and learning how to cook the only thing I ever made was chicken. My Dad used to tell me that I would turn into a chicken if I kept eating it everyday but alas, I am still just me so I think it’s safe to say that he lied. LOL!

I was craving a good chicken sandwich the other day so imagine my surprise when I saw McDonalds had the new new Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwich on the menu.

According to the McDonalds website the sandwich is made with “100% grilled chicken breast filet seasoned to perfection with ingredients like salt, garlic and parsley – seared in our kitchens, no preservatives added. Crisp leaf lettuce, fresh tomato, and a vinaigrette dressing. All atop our delectable artisan roll.” If that doesn’t sound like heaven then I don’t know what will.

But seriously though, look at that gorgeous sandwich!! It was delicious!! The chicken was grilled to perfection and it was juicy. I LOVE that bun, it wasn’t too soft and it wasn’t tough, it was the perfect texture. The veggies and the sauce were the icing on the cake and complimented the chicken so well it was like it was just meant to be. I was seriously lovin’ it!!

One thing I really like about McDonalds is that they use 100% real chicken breast that is free of artificial flavors, added colors or preservatives. All of their chicken is seasoned with pantry spices and herbs like parsley, salt and onion powder, cooked in McDonald’s kitchens using a canola and olive oil blend, and seared on the grill to lock in flavor and juices.

And you know what? It’s actually pretty healthy…

Also according to the McDonalds website “The introduction of the new chicken recipe closely follows a recent policy announcement from McDonald’s USA to work to source chicken raised without antibiotics important to human medicine within the next two years. The farmers who supply chicken for our US menu will continue to responsibly use ionophores, a type of antibiotic not used for humans that helps keep chickens healthy.”

And just like that McDonalds does it again. That’s one fabulous sandwich and I seriously suggest you run to your nearest McDonalds and try one for yourself today!!

Have you tried McDonalds new Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwich??

I’m going to share this with my daughter. I think she loves chicken about as much as you do. So glad there’s a healthier, grilled option! Yes!!

We used to go to McDonald’s in the past years but not anymore ever since we switched on eating homecooked meals. That sandwich looks good though.

Yum! Now I have something to look forward to when my kids want nuggets (which I love too, but aren’t as healthy as this). The fresh ingredients are great, but that roll seals the deal!

I can’t eat this because of the bread and me being gluten free but it sure does look good! I’ll have to pass this on to my friends who can eat it!

I really don’t eat at McD often. Maybe twice a year. When we travel I try to pack snacks and a cooler of food so we don’t have to hit drive thru’s. When I do have a craving for fast food I like Subway and Sonic.

My DIL only eats chicken or fish. I know she loves when the menus at any restaurant, including fast food are amped up with offerings like this one.

Our littlest ones love McDonalds for the fries, although they think it’s called coke-coke, because usually we will drive through for fries and coke…

I was not aware that McDonald’s had these artisan sandwiches. I think the chicken looks really delicious and the calories are reasonable. The sodium is on the high side, though.
