Fancy

I am happy to announce that I have finally chosen my word for 2015. I loved my word from last year, Free. In fact, it was a very freeing year.

This year I put a lot of thought into it and had all of these great ideas for really meaningful words like “Balance”, “Less”, “No”, etc. But I kept com in back to one word that seemed kind of silly at first but then I understood it and it made perfect sense. So without further ado, my word of the year is…

fancy

…FANCY.

2015 will be my year of fancy.

For example, I have lived in my house for 3 and a half years. Most of the walls don’t have anything on them because I can’t decide what I want. This will be the year I decide. I also have a ton of projects laying around that I started but never finished.

I want to be more fancy in my everyday life. I bought a few new clothes recently but not any accessories. I am bad about leaving the house with no jewelry or any accessories on. I do the basics and that’s it. I want to feel more put together.

I have had my DSLR camera for about six months and haven’t really used it. Granted, school had a lot to do with that and I was super busy last semester but I really need to get it out and lear how to use it. I want to fancy up my pictures for this blog and the other projects I am working on.

2015 will be my year of fancy.

Singing “oh you fancy, huh” (from some random hip hop song)! LOL! Start small with some wall letters (that’s what I did to decorate my bare walls) and a favorite accessory! Most importantly use your DSLR! I admit I don’t spend enough time with mine and my pictures would be much better if I did! Have a great year being FANCY!!

I love that you do a word of the year, and I love the thought behind it. Fancy is perfect for this year, and I am so excited for you to get started on all those projects and things that you haven’t had a chance to do just yet and fancy things up. It’s going to be amazing, I’m sure.

I don’t have a word for 2015… but my 2015 is all about change and accepting that, as well as granting myself grace that I normally wouldn’t. So… that’s lots of words, but that is where I’m currently at with it! Great idea!

What a great and fun word Ricci!!
I decided not to go with a word this year – – but you could say I am hoping to achieve some fancy of my own. We have completely bare walls too and we need paint and pictures and fun up in here!

I LOVE this word! My word of the year is Thrive! I am hoping to thrive in personal and professional aspects of my life so I thought that sounded appropriate. I am glad you didn’t pick the word no!

My 2015 word is Earnest, but I really like fancy. My walls are always bare. I am not good at deciding what to put on them.
