I was browsing through The SITS Girls Facebook page the other day and they had an awesome suggestion…instead of making a whole list of resolutions this year they wanted you to pick a word to be your own personal “Word of the Year” and live your life by it. Pretty genius right?
I didn’t reply to the post because I had so many words fly through my head….forward, upward, change, truth, giving, different, fresh, balance, fun. But I couldn’t choose just one at that time. After having a few days to think about tit I have decided that my “Word of the Year” for 2014 will be…
I want to be free. Free myself of worries. Free myself of doubt. Free myself of fear.
I want to surround myself only with positive people. I want to take this blog to new levels. I want to ace my classes. I want to be the best daughter/sister/aunt/friend/person I can be.
I believe that 2014 just may be my year. I foresee great things happening in my future if I can work hard enough. BUt most of all I just want to be free.
Happy New Year to you. If you had to pick one word to be your “Word of the Year” what would it be?

How cool is that!? This is the first year that I haven’t been excited to make a resolution. I mean, I never really keep them anyway. But, I think a word would be easier to keep track of and stay on top of! Now, I’ve got to figure out my word!

I couldn’t agree more. I definitely need positive people in my life! I’d have to think on my word because much like you I have several going through my head. Free is a good one!

Free is a good one. Especially from negative people!
I did make a list of goals.
I think my word would be manage. Manage time, my chronic illnesses, being fit, well being. It almost sounds negative but really it’s not. :)

Great word!! I love that meaning around it. I figured out that mine is GO – since a lot of my terms were based around doing things and moving and just living!
