You Can’t Win Them All…

This post contains affiliate links.

I have been trying out quite  few new beauty products lately and I’m kinda loving it! Today I wanted to share with one product I am loving and another product I’m not really caring for. #SorryNotSorry

Let’s start with what I’m not loving first…

herbal

Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner. This “cleansing conditioner” is similar to Wen in that its supposed to be all that you use for both shampoo/conditioner and it doesn’t foam up at all. For starters it said to use 8-10 pumps and I used about 20 to totally saturate my head. My hair is pretty short (for me) right now so I don’t even want to think about how much I would have to use if my hair were longer. The first day I tried it I LOVED it!! It smells amazing and my hair felt great. Day two I washed it just like I did the day before but noticed when I dried my hair that it felt very dry. When I went to straighten it it was very stiff on top and it felt like I didn’t get all of the hairspray out of my hair. Day three I scrubbed a little harder to get the hairspray feel out of my hair and it just felt even more dry and yuck so I had to switch back to my normal Herbal essence shampoo/conditioner combo on day four. So no, I didn’t really like this product at all. Sorry Herbal Essences!!

Next up, the product I fell in love with…

browdrama

Maybelline Brow Drama. I have been obsessed with eyebrows for  while now. I have always wanted to fill mine in but had a disastrous experience with a way too dark eyebrow pencil in high school and so I have steered away from any sort of filling in since then. It was bad y’all!!! The other day I saw that Christine from Simply Stine reviewed this new brow gel and it looked amazing on her so I had to try it for myself!!! Let me tell you, it took some serious shopping to find it!! I went to Ulta, WalMart, and two different Targets before finding it!! Totally worth the time it took to find it though…good thing I am such a persistent shopper! HA!

I even loved this product so much I took a few selfies to show you how well it works!! Here’s a “before” of me with naked brows…

This stuff is super easy to use. It’s sort of like mascara but with a little ball of bristles on the end of the wand. You just take the ball/bristled end and sweep up and then across your whole eyebrow. It goes on light so you can build it up to as dark as you want. I think I did three swipes? Another good thing about this stuff is that it’s easy to get off! If you mess up just wipe it off with a facial wipe and start over! Easy peasy!

Here is a pic of one brow done…

I did my right brow (the left one on the pic) and I can tell a huge difference!! I LOVE IT!!!

Here are both brows done…

I think having my eyebrows filled in makes my face look more pulled together? Anyway, I am obsessed!! And for $7 I will be definitely keep using this!! LOVE IT!!!

Have you ever tried Wen or a similar product??
Did you like it??
Do you fill in your eyebrows??
What do you use??

My daughter uses Wen, but I’ve never tried it. But I’m really interested in the brow drama. I laughed at how you tracked that one done!

I do fill in my brows. I’ve used Anastasia for a while and I really like it, but I’ll try the one you reviewed if I can find it. :)

Your brows look so, so good!! That color is perfect for you! I’m so excited that you were able to find it. I know it’s hard to find, but it’s worth it!!

I’m not gonna lie. I love the idea of a cleansing conditioner, but I’ve never had any luck with them-no matter what my hair length was. My hair always felt like I hadn’t washed it and really weighed down. I’m just not a fan!

I fill in my eyebrows using the the MAC spike pencil and love it! I’ve tried using other brands and nothing has compared. I’ll need to check out Maybelline Brow Drama.

I am all over trying that brow filler. I always feel like my hair is not the same color as my brows so that would be great to match. You look amazing!! I have never tried Wen but always wanted to I guess you have to keep checking. I have heard that dry shampoo is awesome. I am not sure if it is the same thing.
