What I’m Loving Wednesday: Olay Fresh Effects Gel Moisturizer

WILW

I have tried a LOT of moisturizers this past winter…I even  blogged about them. But since then I have found another one that I am completely in love with…

15007511_201312172303I got this moisturizer at Target because I had a coupon. I fell in love with the Olay Fresh Effects face washes last spring and got a coupon good for a free full size moisturizer with face wash purchase and picked up this beauty. Fun fact…if you use a BOGO-free coupon at Target they don’t use the price of the product they use whatever is printed on the ticket. So this moisrtuizer was $12 at my Target and the coupon was worth $15. So it was like getting a free moisturizer and only paying half price for the face wash. SCORE!

Back to why I love this moisturizer, it’s called Dew Over and is a gel moisturizer. If you have read on here for any length of time you know that my go-to moisturizer is the Clinique Dramatically Different Gel. I can’t stand thick lotions on my face and this moisturizer is the perfect weight and packs a TON of moisture into my skin.

Smells are very important to me and this moisturizer has a clean fresh smell to it. It’s made with Honeysuckle and White Tea extract, it even sounds like it smells divine! When I put it on before bed Sophie likes to lick it off my face….GROSS! HA! I guess that means it tastes good too?

I love this moisturizer for winter use but I can’t wait to use it during the summer too. It has a cooling effect (I think that’s the gel??) that would feel GREAT on sunburned skin!

It is also oil-free which is important to me. My skin isn’t really oily but I try to avoid it if at all possible. It also claims to not clog pores. Cause I definitely don’t need that!

Do you have a fave moisturizer?
Do you switch during the summer or winter?

My mom swears by Oil of Olay and at 69 I see why. She could pass for 55 not almost 70. I love the original OOO lotion but this sounds fabulous and I will look for it. I’m in need of a new moisturizer. Thanks for sharing. NOW to find a coupon!!

My face is so sensitive I’m always so worried about buying and trying new ones. I use Ponds Dry Skin Cream and lather it on at night!

The majority of my skin care products are purchased from The Body Shop. Because they are a bit pricey, I usually stock up when they have a great sale. I love being aware of great drugstore finds that I can use in case I can’t use my normal products. And I love that this product is a gel. Having combination skin, that’s something I tend to look for – gel over creams.
