Last Thursday night I went to Boo at the Zoo the Adult Preview at my local zoo! Boo at the Zoo is an event put on every year for little kids at the zoo. They get to dress up in their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat at the zoo! The Adult Preview that I went to was similar but instead of trick-or-treating for candy, we trick-or-treated for adult libations. YUM!!
I went with two of my co-workers, Elizabeth and Logan. We had such a great time!!!
I actually wore my new red skinny jeans with my leopard flats!! This is huge for me because I never wear my skinnies unless I have on boots!! I thought it turned out really cute tho and I may have order some more…LOL!!
Our first stop was at the Fortune Tellers booth (which I failed to get a pic of) and paid her to tell me I talk a lot. Which I already knew….then we made a loop and saw all the animals! There was a station set up where you could roast your own s’mores!! YUM!!
After making our lap we rode the simulator…it was a roller coaster simulation and slid us all over the car!!!
Next we got in line for the Haunted House. I knew the building it was held in and didn’t think it would take long to go through because it wasn’t very big. Boy was I wrong!! That thing scared me to death!! Elizabeth and I screamed our heads off and ran and Logan just laughed at us!!! Not sure if he will be doing any more haunted houses with us…
After all that it was time to hit up the food trucks. Apparently I didn’t get my fill of fair food at Fat Tuesday because I totally killed this OMG YUMMY foot long corn dog all by myself…HA!
There was a band playing but all I remember about them was that they weren’t good. Sorry not sorry. Even the old lady that kept filling my cup with yummy super cold beer said they should be ashamed of themselves…LOL!
And then of course there is always the obligatory “take a pic while you are peeing cause you are drunk and you need to check your makeup” pic. Again, sorry not sorry. Please tell me I’m not the only crazy who does this??
After all that fun we decided to call it a night. Also, I could barely walk a straight line and was getting obnoxious so it was time to pack it up! On our way out we got to ride fair rides!!! Now that I’m thinking about it I probably shouldn’t have ridden anything because just the thought of spinning in circles makes me want to puke , but of course we did!
First we rode a ride with an interesting name…
Basically, you stand up and strap yourself against the metal side and the whole thing is in a circle and you spin in circles. I almost threw up. Twice.
After that we decided to ride the Scrambler!!!
Again, not my brightest idea. I almost threw up again and every time my car got close to the carny he would lean his head down and get right in my face. Ummmm….awkward!!!
Overall I had a fantastic time!!! I can’t wait for next year!!
Are you doing anything fun to celebrate Halloween??
