Spank Your Keurig

This post contains affiliate links.

While at BBC in Charlotte I got to try the new Brew Over Ice flavors for the Keurig. Y’all. I absolutely fell in love with the Sweet and Creamy Iced Coffee by Donut Shop and the Snapple Peach and Raspberry Teas. We even got samples to take home and use in our own Keurigs!!

I have had my Keurig for two and a half years and LOVE it!! I don’t use it every day but I use it often enough. Well, when I got home from BBC I wanted to try my raspberry Snapple tea ASAP so I turned on the trusty Keurig, added some fresh water, and hit Brew.

Nothing happened.

It made noise like it was trying to suck the water but nothing was happening. It had been a few weeks since I had last used it so I unplugged it and turned it back on thinking it needed a reset and still, nothing happened.

I’m going to admit, I got scared ya’ll. Every possible scenario was running through my head and I thought my Keurig was a goner. So I did what any rational thinking adult would do. I googled “Keurig won’t suck water” and clicked on every link and message board I could find. The thing most people said to do was to flip the machine over, give it a good spank, and plug it back in.

After careful consideration (what else did I have to lose??) I did just that. I took the water thing off, flipped that sucker over my sink, gave it a good spank, put it back on the counter, plugged it in, and guess what? IT WORKED!!!

So, when all else fails and you think your Keurig is a goner, just remember one thing…

Spank your Keurig!

I couldn’t handle it if anything happened to my Keurig! Who knew that it might need a good spanking from time to time? Hilarious!

My office Keurig is so temperamental. It gets stuck on “Not ready” like she’s a dive who isn’t ready to perform. If I walk away when it is doing that, it will start up. So apparently mine is shy and doesn’t like to perform under pressure?

I love my Keurig, but the K cups can get expensive. I found the water mix ins for the Snapple peach tea and they are awesome! And $1 a box lol

My Platinum Keurig kept running water all of a sudden continuously without stopping after its 3rd anniversary. I spanked really hard as mentioned upside down about 4 times and it fixed the issue. The problem is 2 days ago I ordered the new 2.0 550 model scheduled to arrive in a few days. So I may just keep this as a spare or give it away.

I was literally about to throw my keurig away and buy a new one tonight. Mine has been out of commission since June and this worked like a charm
