Ok, maybe my fried chicken isn’t actually famous but it totally should be! HA!!
Fried Chicken used to intimidate me, it can get ugly really quick if you undercook your chicken, and it does take a few tries to get it right but in the end it is sooooo worth it!! Today I am going to share my super easy recipe with you and share a couple of tips/tricks on how I get my fired chicken just right!
ONE. I like to season my flour up a bit so I always add a bit of cajun seasoning to it. I don’t add salt or pepper, just the cajun and it’s good without being spicy. My grandmother eats it just fine, ok? LOL!
TWO. I fry my chicken in vegetable oil and only use just enough to cover the bottom of my frying pan. Don’t use too much oil, you are frying it not drowning it.
THREE. I always start my oil on medium heat and usually wind up turning it down. If you get the oil too hot it will get brown too quickly and then it will burn before it’s cooked through.
I really hope you enjoy this recipe and aren’t afraid to try it for yourself!! Entire recipe is below!!
Do you like fried chicken??
Have you ever made fried chicken before??

- Whisk the eggs and soak the chicken breasts in the egg wash for a few minutes.
- Mix the flour and cajun seasoning together in a gallon baggie.
- Put the chicken breasts in the flour baggie and shake until coated.
- Cover the bottom of a frying pan in vegetable oil and turn it on medium heat.
- When oil is hot carefully lay the flour coated chicken in the oil.
- When the chicken is brown on one side turn it over and brown the other side.
- I always cut my chicken to make sure I have cooked it all the way through because it is not worth getting sick over undercooked chicken.
- Enjoy!

So glad you posted this! I’m dying to try it. And I love that you use Tony Chachere’s. It’s a staple here…my husband puts it on just about everything! :)
Your flour/sugar/coffee canisters are too cute!
