Winter Skin, Diets, and Wedding Shows

This post contains affiliate links.

I love winter! I really do…mostly. One thing I could definitely do without is dry winter skin! Aghhh!! I love taking long hot bubble baths and showers but when I get out and put lotion on my skin is sooooo super dry I feel like an alligator! Even my face is starting to feel yucky! I use the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel by Clinique but I’m thinking I may need something heavier. I hate putting anything on my face at all (I use Bare Minerals makeup…its soooo light and I LOVE it!) but I really need something for winter. Any suggestions?

Enough about that, today is Friday. Also known as day 5 of my diet. It’s going good so far…at least I think so. We will find out Monday when I step on the scale! So far it isn’t bad, in fact it’s pretty damn good! I almost messed up today though. I was watching my tivoed Grey’s Anatomy (LOVE that show and Private Practice too) and I got the WORST craving for pasta. It didn’t help that I remembered I had one last box of velveeta shells and cheese in the pantry…BUT I decided to be good and have a diet version of Beef Lo Mein!! I am so proud of myself!!

I also watched a couple episodes of Say Yes to the Dress today. I have to admit that I usually don’t like wedding shows but I liked this one. I have had my share of heartbreaks but the last one kind of sent me to my breaking point and I haven’t dated seriously ever since. I know that now I am the self proclaimed ultimate single girl (have you seen my hot pink Christmas tree?!?) but I do hope to get married one day. Some people have told me that I am too picky and I need to lower my standards but I have waited this long so why compromise now? If it is meant to be it will be.

On another note, I finally watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows this week!!! Soooo good!! Now I can’t wait until July when the final movie comes out!! I absolutely love this book series. Not only are they wonderful books but these are the first books my little brother actually read from cover to cover on his own and comprehended what he read!! Enough said. Good books.

Well, I guess that is all I have for now. Hope everyone has a great week!!
