Long time no blog…I feel like that is the story of my life and honestly I’m not mad about it. In some ways do miss blogging all about my life but if I’m not “doing it for the blog” then that means I’m actually doing things in the moment and I love that! There is something to be said about just living life and not documenting every single moment. But then there are things that I feel need documentation. Like the surgery I just had. And the trips I am planning for later this year. I LOVE being able to look back at old blog posts and feel like I’m reliving those moments all over again. Sigh…
So I guess this is my jump back into *hopefully* blogging more and still living life in the moment. Starting with a Friday Five post because I miss those!
So what is the Friday Five? Friday Five is where I share five random things with you that may not deserve an entire blog post devoted to them but do deserve a mention on the old blog. Enough rambling! Let’s get to it…
ONE. July. How is it already July?? This year has literally flown by. I really don’t understand how it’s already halfway over and I feel like I have so much left to accomplish. Ugh. Hello July!
TWO. I will NEVER talk about politics or political movements on my blog so if that’s what you’re here for then I’m sorry. That’s not to say that I don’t care about things because I do but this is a place for frivolous things and thoughts and politics just doesn’t fit that description.
THREE. I mentioned that I had a surgery I wanted to document and if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook then you already know that I had VSG (vertical sleeve gastrectomy, a weight loss surgery) back at then beginning of June and I can’t wait to write all about that!! If you have any questions about the surgery leave me a comment or shoot me an email and I will try my best to answer them in my post next week.
FOUR. I am also getting caught up on my monthly book posts. I don’t know about y’all but since ole Covid hit I have read a ridiculous amount of books and I’m not mad about that at all. I think this year I am doing 2 months in one post because it’s just easier that way. LOL! That being said, if you have any good book recs send them my way!
FIVE. I am in the midst of planning a trip to Savannah in the future so if you have been and can think of anything I need to add to my must-do list let me know!!
I guess that’s all I have for now but I am excited to get back to blogging!!
Love and miss you all!!

Of course why wouldnt you talk about the #blm movement. You already have the privilege maybe you should use it for good instead of not talking about it. You have a platform use it for good. When a blogger decides to not their platform for good and promoting the #blm movement it makes me wonder what their actual stance on it is. As a Mexican it angers me when bloggers do not care about politics or not care that racism exists. It does fyi. I hope you use your white privilege for positivity and bringing awareness to racism towards POC. To bad you will never know what actual racism is like.

And this is exactly why I don’t talk politics on my blog. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t, right? I actually do care a LOT about politics and especially the #BLM movement. I have talked about it on my Instagram stories but will not write a full blog post about it because I’m sure I will get something wrong and the people will come at me even more for that. And that’s all I’m going to say about it on this post or any other. I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
