Last week I finally made it to Memphis to see Hamilton at The Orpheum and it was AMAZING!!! I have been wanting to see Hamilton forever and was pumped when it finally came to Memphis so I could go see it!

If you have read my posts about going to shows before then you know that I love to go to shows with an unbiased opinion. So just like most of the other musicals I have seen I didn’t really know much about Hamilton (except for the obvious, that it was about the life of Hamilton) before I saw it. I love not knowing about the shows I go see because that way I can’t be disappointed if something is “wrong”.
Anyway, back to the show.

Getting tickets for Hamilton was a task. You had to get verified via Ticketmaster and then register with the Orpheum and get an email with a link to buy your tickets at a certain time. It was all very aggressive and weird but I got great seats in the mezzanine and didn’t overpay for my seats. In fact, they were well under what I budgeted for them so I’m calling it a WIN.
Here is a view of the stage from out seats…

First things first, the stage was incredible and the actor literally sang the entire thing. There was no dialogue just all singing which was AMAZING!! I downloaded the soundtrack before I left to go to see the show and have been listening it to it non-stop ever since.
I absolutely loved Hamilton and I get why people say that it’s life changing. It is!! It is very informational, absolutely hilarious and one of my favorite characters is King George! He was a HOOT!

So if you get the chance to see Hamilton I would highly suggest going. You won’t regret it!!
Have you seen Hamilton??
