When I sold my house and moved into my apartment I went through every article of clothing I owned, tried them all on and tossed anything that didn’t fit or that I didn’t absolutely love. However the one drawer I overlooked was my bra drawer. I have been wearing the same brand and style of bra since I had my breast reduction (almost 8 years ago!!) and since I lost weight last year they just weren’t fitting right. I knew I needed be resized so I decided to switch things up and go to my local Soma Intimates for a fitting and see if I could find anything I liked.
First things first, it is so important to go for regular fittings. Anytime you have had a change in your body, like losing or gaining weight, you need to go get sized! Even though I worked at a bra place when I was in college and thought I knew all there was to know about bras I learned a few things at Soma, including the fact that I was wearing the wrong bra size, ugh. No wonder I was so uncomfortable all the time!
When I went to Soma I was greeted by a wonderful sales associate who immediately took me to a fitting room and measured me. Not only did she measure under my bust and at the fullest point but she also measured my shoulders and then asked what I didn’t like about my current bra. After talking to me she went and found a few bras for me to try in my new size (I went down in the band and up in the cup and it has made a world of difference!!) and checked with me after I tried each one to see what I liked/didn’t like about each one and then she brought me even more bras to try on.
After I picked my favorite bras she brought me all the colors they had available in my size and I chose what to buy from that selection. Do you even know how amazing it was that I didn’t have to leave my fitting room even once during that whole process?! I loved that! I also loved the fact that Soma carried my size (and larger) in store so that I could actually try them on! A lot of lingerie places don’t carry bigger sizes and so you just have to order online and hope for the best, not with Soma though!
Another thing I loved about Soma’s bras was that even though I got full coverage bras they are still sexy! I love that they have a little lace on them, are lower cut but still hold everything where it needs to be while still being considered full coverage. And they are comfy!! You can’t beat a sexy, comfy bra!!
Now let’s see which bras I bought!!
The first bra I tried that I fell in love with is the Embraceable Full Coverage Lace Trim Bra. This bra is my go-to for everyday wear. It has the softest straps that don’t dig into your shoulders and also stay put and don’t move. It features stretch contour underwire cups that mold to you and is made of super soft brushed microfiber fabric. This bra fits like a literal dream and the thing I think that I love most about this bra is that the back is high enough so that you don’t have any bulges and it makes everything you wear look super smooth!
The next bra I fell in love with is the Memorable Full Coverage Lace Trim Bra. This bra is very similar to the first in that it has beautiful, lacy full coverage cups but it has something that the other definitely doesn’t have…memory foam!! The cups of this bra have memory foam that creates a custom fit to your figure and it cool to the touch. I also love that the straps of this bra can be unhooked and made to be crossed in the back, which actually gives more support! I love the feel of this bra!
I also got this Memorable Full Coverage Bra that basically redefines what a good t-shirt bra should be. It doesn’t have any of the lace detailing that the first two bras did but it does have nice plunge that still makes it sexy! I love to wear this bra to work, it holds me in place all night and memory foam cups are, of course, a favorite! You can also adjust the straps to a criss-cross and I love this as an amazing “wear to work” bra. It makes me feel fancy!
And last but not least I grabbed this Memorable Full Coverage Front Close Racerback Bra. I don’t know about you but I love a good front-close bra. This bra, like the previous two, has memory foam cups and is made of cooling microfiber. It’s also super low-cut/plunge so it looks great under lower cut tops. I love a good v-neck and this bra is my go-to when I wear them!
So there you have it, my new favorite Soma Intimates bras! I seriously love this brand and all of the bras that I have tried. I plan on trying more in the future and maybe venturing out to try their panties and sleep wear??
And by the way, this post is NOT sponsored, I purchased all of these bras on my own.
Do you have a favorite brand of bra??
Have you tried Soma Intimates bras??

The right fitting bra is so important. I was lucky to meet up with a salesperson recently that made me feel like a new woman and fit me right. These bras are so stylish and if they fit would be amazing on.

I read where most women don’t wear the right size bra at all, from cup size to even around. Why does it have to be so hard. This is perfect for women.

I have a hard time cleaning out that drawer because I’ve fluctuated in size so much over the years having kids. I really need to though!!! There are only a couple in a drawer full that I actually wear. Love all of these that you have pictured too.

I am a huge fan of Soma Intimates. It’s so hard to find a comfortable bra, especially when trying to shop at big box department stores and such. Soma has so many great options.

I think it’s awesome that you experienced a top notch service especially when buying bra! It’s such a hassle sometimes, because we have different sizes in different stores! I love that you never had to leave the dressing room while selecting different types/designs!

I dread bra shopping because it’s so difficult sometimes to look for the right fit, and you’d have to go in and out of the dressing room to search for your size. I’d love to go to Soma Intimates for an awesome shopping experience like yours! Their bras are pretty as well!

It was so worth going in store to get the whole experience of being fitted and then not having to go dig through racks of bras to find my size! LOL!
Shell Feis says
I need to go in and do this! I am definitely not wearing the right size bra but like you said, it’s crazy hard to find the bigger sizes in store so I can’t just go try a bunch on. I just looked and there’s a Soma by me, totally going there.

I’ve heard Soma was a really good bra. I must give it a look. The brand I wear now I like but it still likes to nag at me. Someday I will find the perfect bra.
