Happy Monday! I am officially back from vacation and I was super busy the whole dang time I was off work. While I was on vacation I went to Ohio and visited my Neenee, got a lot of appointments out of the way (doctor, dentist, etc) and I got professional headshots done!! Yes, you read that right, I finally got headshots done for the blog!!
I was going to do them earlier in the summer but the week I was scheduled to do them my house sold and then I had to find an apartment and start packing and then with my crazy night shift work schedule the timing was never right until now. But I am happy I waited because I found the perfect shirt to wear in the Nordstrom sale and the timing just felt right. Know what I mean?

Confession – I have wanted to get headshots taken for a while now but never did because I never felt like I was never “ready”. I always had excuses like waiting until I lost weight or my hair was grown out and there were so many other reasons but I am so glad that I finally just did it. I realized there will never be a “perfect” time and so I just bit the bullet and did it and I am so glad I did!! I am more than happy with how these photos turned out and I hope you like them too!!
If you are in central Arkansas I used Julie Bird from Julie Bird Portraits for my photographer and she recommended Chanda Price aka Pretty by Price to do my hair and makeup and I highly recommend both of these ladies!! They both welcomed me into their homes and made me feel super comfortable. I had never met either before the day I got my photos done and it was like I had known them both forever!
So anyway, if you are on the fence about getting headshots or any kind of professional photography done I say just do it!! You won’t regret it!!

Perfect outfit and what a beautiful smile you have. As for Headshots like you I need to do them but keep finding excuses not to. Although I am in Texas I can’t use the ladies you used or it might make getting them done easier.
I love these. I should do them one day. Maybe I will at some point, I just hate having my photo taken. I always look awkward.
You had absolutely beautiful head shots. I think we all are all our own worst critics! I have had the same issues as you. I have not wanted to go somewhere because I didn’t look perfect. I think we should all just love the way we are and help others when they are not as sure of themselves.
