Happy Friday!! This is my weekend to work but I have had a wonderful few days off and I am ready to get back to it. And see people. HA! Since today is Friday, you know the drill, it’s time for the Friday Five. If you are new around here then you should know that I reserve Fridays for random things. Actually for FIVE random things, hence the name, the Friday Five! So without firth ado, here we go with this week’s Friday Five!!
ONE. I got a massage yesterday and I swear I feel like a new person. Ever since I was in that wreck last fall my neck has been sore. It’s not constantly sore like it used to be but if I turn my neck a certain way I can feel it catch and it hurts from the base of my skull to mid-back. It’s been awful!! But that massage helped like nothing else!! Some people think that massages are an indulgence but when you hurt as much as I do it’s a necessity!
TWO. I have a lot of down time this weekend I got to catch up on a few of my favorite Netflix shows. New episodes of Jane the Virgin dropped this past week and I was soooo excited!! My Dad actually introduced this show to me last year and I am hooked!! If you need some fun, light hearted comedy in your life then you have to check it out!! I love me some Rogelio!!
THREE. Random but…I remember a time when I said that I would never read an e-book. I always said that real books were better and I would never give them up. Well I am sad to say that I have had a stack of “real” books sitting on my nightstand for forever! I always read books on my Kindle app, even when I’m in bed. I feel like I should make it a new rule to put the phone down when I’m in bed and make myself work through my stack of books! And also – never say never. HA!
FOUR. Last night I did a new (to me) face mask. It’s from the Yes to line and it’s the Yes to Tomatoes 2-Step Nose Kit! It was really interesting and I only messed up one small part of it. HA! First you wash your nose and the surrounding area with the included swab and face wash. Then, with your nose still wet (I dried my nose and so this part didn’t work until I re-wet my nose, oops!!) you apply the strip and let it sit for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes you rip it off and you’re all done! I feel like it really worked. That thing was really stuck on my nose and hurt a little when I pulled it off. LOL!!
FIVE. I’m getting my hair done in a few weeks and I want to go a little brighter on my balayage since it’s almost summer!! Here are a few pins I found that I’m going to show my hair girl. My hair is pretty long right now and I know I want to keep it long but I may also do a long bob? If that makes any sense…LOL!! Tell me which one you like!!
Happy Friday to you!!

I absolutely LOVE Jane The Virgin! I’m also a huge reader and said for awhile I wouldn’t walk away from real books, but then 4 years ago my boyfriend bought me a kindle… and I’m addicted to it!

Massages are always nice! I get a lot of tension in my upper back and the back of my neck, and I always feel like a new person each time I get a massage.

My daughter lover her kindle. I’m still old fashion and reading and turning pages by hand. Afraid if I got a kindle I wouldn’t ever put it down.

A massage sounds great right now. I go either way when it comes to books vs. ebooks. They both have their relaxing purpose.

Looks like you’re treating yourself right as you should! I hope you enjoyed the massage. That is a very relaxing thing to do for sure.
Melissa Chapman says
You had a full weekend and my daughter loves Jane so maybe I should check it out. That system sounds great for the skin so we should try this.
Bonnie G says
Happy Friday to you too. =) I really want to check out that show on Netflix and try that face mask.

Love your Friday 5. As far as hair I love #1 or #2. I did not even realize “Jane the Virgin” was still like going. How out of it am I? I had the great fortune to get the first season on DVD back a while ago and fell in love with it then gave it to my daughter-in-law and have never seen it again lol. I will have to go back and see your other Friday 5s and see what else I have been missing.

My daughter and I have been eyeing those masks at the store. It would be fun to try some out and have a little spa night. Sounds like you had a nice week with some good winding down!

I like hair #2! I love long hair and have been growing mine out for a solid couple of years. The longer the better! The face mask looks fantastic and I definitely want to try it!

Great post! I agree hair #2 is cute and yes, I’ll take a massage also! I’ve been seeking to try out a face mask I just might give that one a try me with the older girls. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of Jane the Virgin I guess I need to check that show out also.
